I think officating today is not where it needs to be. If the officials would crack down on penalties, there would be less penalties happening. More "no calls occur" for some reason and because of it many more infractions occur because of the soft officiating.

I know experience and who you know gets you calling college ball. Just because you officiate ncaa football doesn't mean your a good official. Curious to know what are the requisites for becoming a p4 official.

People don’t believe me… the Mob is NOT dead. They still run illegal gambling. Some of these refs DO owe…. I bet my life on it.

BYU mugged NDs receiver in the end zone and nothing.

If "they", whoever they are, were using refs to influence games, why on EARTH do you think that fricking BYU would get the favoritism over Notre Dame? The golden boy poster child of the sport for 100 years?

If we did entertain such retardedry that something like this was actually legitimate and came from the top, I can absolutely assure you it wouldn't be notre dame on teh shite end fo the stick against frickin brigham young.

Occam's razor here- these part time temp worker refs simply suck at their job. That's the simplest solution and it's 100% correct. The only other idea I'd entertain is rogue individuals (not given orders from some shady overacrching governing entity deciding who is going to win games via ref calls) swaying calls on their own accord without any outside influence. Like the shite for brains that reffed the '18 natty between UGA and bama who just so happened to be a massive bama fan with bama alum family members.

There is no question that the officials at best influence and at worst determine the outcome the college and professional football games.

Why? It's the corruption of money. Whether it's money for the conference or league for certain teams winning or the gambling industry, it's the same result.

Sports is as much entertainment as sport.

They’re the same thing

I felt like the BYU ND 1 second debacle was an example of conference favoring it's member versus an independent

the number of times ND has been on the other side of that far outweigh what happened last night.

Do you really think officials would want the personal exposure that comes with that?

What are the other options? That they just suck?

That’s certainly possible. Officiating high level football is very difficult given the speed of the game and how many things the refs have to look at each play.

And then there are the absolute bad calls or no-calls that simply have to be fixed. Like the Saints-Rams no-call.

So how do they choose which billion dollar side gets screwed from week to week?

So what? The 3 was automatic. In either situation they have to recover an onside kick. They arent worried about bettors. You take what you can to keep giving yourself a chance.
