for the ppl watching on tv was the officiating as bad as it seemed. I mean the personal foul where we didn't touch the guy, beckham gets hit after a fair catch, 2 non PI calls on our wr's.......the list goes on and on. Sometimes seeing on tv especially in slo mo replay shows the right call was made, was that the case tonight? I also saw a good bit of holding that wasn't called. Thoughts rant?

It certainly looked bad at the game. We did get one no call on what looked like a late hit we put on them.

The personal foul wasn't for a hard hit, it was for "intent". At least that's what Herbie thought.

it looked pretty shitty. I watched 3 1/2 quarters from the Brad Paisley concert and just finished watching the rest of the game on my dvr.

Missed horsecoller tackle...but I nitpick. I didn't care for the officiating tonight.

it was terrible. according to the refs, if i intended to eat a boat load of food tomorrow, but decided not to, i would still be considered fat..

It wasn't a horsecollar, he pulled him down by his hair.

Jalen Collins was also in great position on that long pass, and their guy came in a pushed him out the way. If it was flipped around it would have been def PI.

There were several "non calls" in my opinion. The PF on Loston was questionable, but he did go for the spear and whiffed. Couldn't really see OB jr raise his hand, but announcers did and questioned the lack of a flag.

I saw several holds/take downs on our D line that weren't called. Saw a couple blocks in the backnon there long punt return prior to the foul that was actually called. They missed a horse collar on Ware I thought. Announcers thought his hair got pulled.

some missed calls....the Loston call was pitiful but it wasn't terribly officiated.....they let alot of stuff go and let the players decide the game.

I didn't think it was that bad.

1. The pass interference no-calls were correct. The first one was nothing at all. The second one was "accidental contact" where both of their feet got tangled. Neither one was pass interference.

2. The personal foul was because the South Carolina player was out of bounds and the LSU player comes running in and dives like he's going to lay him out but missed. The LSU player's helmet hit the SC player... it grazed him. (a little more than a "graze", but not full force). He kind of lowered his shoulder to take him out it looked like, but he missed him.

I don't know the rule on "intent", but he didn't really hit the South Carolina player. But it certainly did look like he was trying to.

3. Beckam getting hit after the fair catch I must have missed. I don't remember it.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Are they going to start calling personal fouls every time a player attempts to lay a lick now? If so there are going to be an awful lot of flags every game.

I forgot about the fair catch call. I was sitting dead even with Beckham and everyone around us clearly saw him wave his hand for a fair catch. Only reason I can think they may have missed it is he called it very early and they didn't see it, but thats no excuse for the officials

I counted 6 or 7 bad calls.

I was in the north endzone and watched every replay on the Jumbo.

Those officials were former Footlocker employees.

yes... and that aggravates me b/c an official can't throw a flag for intent... he can only throw it for what actually happens... bad call

Agreed and I prefer this rather than calling every nit picking thing.

If a player threw a punch, but missed, is that okay?

I'm not saying whether the call was right or wrong, but doing something unsuccessfully is different from not doing anything at all.
