You think Shea is a college football roster expert?

Go compare that number to the rest of the top 25 teams.

Kiffin has his issues that need to be taken into the equation. There is a lot of risk for him to be HC at LSU, which is what you are talking about. He has never been in a great light for me, WITHOUT factoring in potentially becoming HC.

That's a lot of typing to try to convince people you were saying something other than what you were saying.

You responded and quoted a sentence about the talent gap between LSU and Bama and that is what your response was about.

Now you want everyone to believe you were talking about CFP rankings and bowl games by typing paragraphs of irrelevant crap.

Good job. A lot of the posters on here will buy it.

Lane said that there wasn't a big gap in talent between Bama and LSU.

People around here don't wanna hear that unfortunately. It's a little hyperbole for sure, but some people want to act like it's some huge difference and that there's some sort of rebuild taking place here.

LSU is NOT a rebuilding situation. That mantra started after Miles was fired as an excuse to take the heat off Alleva and O for several years. Total nonsense.

Lane will not be our coach. If O struggles and is let go. Alleva will push Aranda into HC position.

bullshite. This is even in my post that you quoted...

My entire post was about the talent that LSU had on the roster in '15 and '16 along with the success of those teams and why they lost the games they did. If you want to discuss something, let's discuss it, but start your nonsense of trying to change shite up when it doesn't go your way.

So is O’s coaching worth -6%

With 1/2 of a recruiting class that was actually his. You’re not the brightest bulb Sammy

Lane Kiffin in 2018 reminds me Spurrier in the late 80s/early 90s.

I’ll be honest. If Orgeron could have gotten Kiffin to come be our OC and if he stayed out of his way, the combination of Kiffin coaching offense, Aranda on defense, and Orgeron recruiting/getting players fired up for games, could have been pretty damn good.

Alabama typically recruits between 12 and 14 players every year for the OL, DL, LB and TE. They fill the other positions with DB's, RB's, QB's and WR. He used to use walk on kickers until he realized the importance. He does not fill the positions with a designated long snapper.

LSU with the past offensive scheme signed way too many WR and TE considering they only used 2 WR's most of the game time.

To summarize BAMA's OL and front 7 defensively have always been better. The skilled positions other than QB I actually believe we were equal or better most years.

O is trying to beef up our recruiting for OL and give him some credit there but Bama is getting better players at OL still.

The jury is still out for sure with O but I look for a good season only because we have a very good defense. If this offense stalls again and we don't put up the numbers the ADMIN will have to make a decision.

This. If you heard the interview he was obviously making a joke, said they were able to change the play to a "pick route, errrr rub route" because tiger stadium was so quiet. That game was one of the loudest tiger stadium games ever as Russillo was saying last week.

Also, when he was talking about the talent disparity, he said not much other than QB. basically what we already know. Said QB has been the big talent difference between the 2 teams.

It won't be Alleva's decision to make.

It wouldn't surprise me at all of its a good season. I think Ed has done a really good job with the roster management. Was it championship caliber and ready in his first year? Probably not and I wasn't expecting it either. But, it wasn't some rebuild as I said before to warrant the kind of losses we had last year.

If these coaching changes work out and Burrow does what we expect him to do, it should be a good year to build on for a championship run in 2019.

So where the players he had that bad?

Do you think we were overperformed our talent or underperformed it?

You need to follow up your assertion with why it matters. Because I dont Think it does.

You’re not exactly radiant.

Very good post !!!

But since you are replying to Lunatic, what does this have to do with the CFP and bowl games? That is what he was talking about.

If you accept that, then O did a shite job addressing it.

No JUCOs in that 2016 class. 1 player that even saw the field. A RS Project and a academically inelligable player.

He was also the DL and RC going into the 2016 season and was hired specifically to rebuild the DL.

But also how many games did DL depth lose?

Maybe 1. MSU
