What if the LSU admin came out and said that they decided we'll be wearing purple at home now instead of the traditional whites? How would the board feel about that?

I would think it would be a mistake and spitting on decades of tradition and excellence while eliminating something that helps make us a little more unique than everyone else. I also just think our normal jersey combo is one of the top 5 best in college football. The purple just feels gimmicky to me but probably because I'm accustomed to only seeing us wear it for bad games.

Could be final nail in Alleva's coffin.

I knew there'd be responses like this. Yeah it's silly and in the grand scheme of things doesn't matter but then again sports as a whole really don't matter that much compared to a lot yet we still feel passionately about them. So yeah I guess you're just cool as frick.

Joe Alleva would be advised to buy those window "advertised as unbreakable and with a baseball bat wielding Hulk battering the glass as though he was giving it his best shot." Of course we know the Hulk was holding back as he tried to sell the windows.

Or, the BOS would appoint a committee to consider retaining the services of pitch-fork-wielding French Folks, to storm Alleva's fiefdom, quickly losing its grip on LSU Athletics.

I hope this is not too complicated for the grammar challenged minions.

Or just operates as a normal human being

My level of disappointment would stop at “damn, that was a dumb decision”

I should add:

Buzzard Beak Alleva will then get a gig with Pat Boone, selling "Relief Factor". Can't you see the punchable-faced AD shreiking: " I AM SO GLAD I ORDERED RELIEF FACTOR!!"

I wouldn't be happy about it. As much as I love the whites I might hate the purple more.

Honestly I can't visualise this changing my outlook on life one iota.

If LSU wears purple jerseys at home from now until the end of time, ca plane pour moi (as long as they're winning).

Fire Alleva immediately.

Otherwise, might as well pack up the band. Wear purple jerseys for every game and piped in music on every down.

Honestly, I expect the banning of Chinese Bandits will be the first tradition to be nixed. Bound to be considered too offensive at some point.

Not by choice.

It's an indisputable fact that the purple slowly but surely sucked all the magic out until DiNardo came down from the mountaintop in the 90s with the angelic white jerseys and restored the magic forever more.

That is the Gospel Truth, recorded in the Book of Mike.

Nor me or other adults.

It only bothers 18 and under message board virgin geeks that don't have summer jobs, don't have girlfriends and still live at home with mommy & daddy.

I'd like it if Tommy Hodson's greatest games wearing purple jerseys were mentioned. As well as the LSU vs OSU 1987 (nationally televised) Baton Rouge day game along with the AU vs LSU 1988 game were sited as examples of great purple jersey (home games) as well.
