Just waiting on the Noot tweet.

Gervase flipping the script sucks. Wanted to see what Wes could do with him.

You're wrong!!!! I'm right! Just admit it!

No offense to Reyzelman or Gervase, but if we don’t lose another FR or JUCO arm.. I’m fine with that trade.

Another arm for the cubs

Damn i was hoping we could hold onto Gervase (sp). He would be awesome not having to be a savior in every situation

I highly doubt Gervase would be the one to get processed.
He really came alive late in the season. Couldve improved his stock tremendously with another year in college. Like from 100k value to 1mill+ but to each its own. He earned the right to go pro.

There is zero chance that gervase was gonna get a mil with no leverage

I didnt think he meant that really, just that Jay isnt upset to see him go considering the roster situation. Sometimes easier to let a vet go who has a good opportunity than have a tough conversation with a guy you recruited to come here but isnt here yet that "someone came back we werent expecting, sorry"...etc.
Gervase was our best reliever arguably (not even arguably really), obviously Jay would love to have him back. But this does make it "easier" in terms of roster management.

He wouldn't have.

It's the best decision to go this year.

He'd have to take whatever they gave him with no leverage next year

Angels just took one of my favorite JUCO guys, Sabin Ceballos from San Jac.

Some of these guys aren't getting any money with the amount of HS kids they drafted.

There's a sub zero percent chance he'd improve his stock to get 7 figures with zero leverage. It's not like he would be a weekend starter even.

So i dont keep up with the money aspect per pick. But if he improves from a 12th rounder to a top 4 rounder and has proven his worth.. teams really lowball like that?
