dude must fricking rake to get picked this high missing his senior year with a torn acl cause he looked goofy as shite running to first in the highlights so its not athleticism

So, in everyone's educated opinion - is Cecchini gone pecan? How about a percentage on him ending up at LSU?

the barbe kids always take the money

4th rounders dont generally get 1.7 mil
but if Boston wants him, they'll pay him. But they went many picks without taking him, so it kind of sounds like a flier pick

Unless the Sox are very confident that Cecchini has fully recovered from his ACL injury, they won't sign him.

I believe Cecchini would be an eligbile sophomore, so he has that extra leverage.
Posted on 6/8/10 at 1:02 pm to AstroTiger
:OMG: Gausman is still on the board!

Also the Sox had a 1st rounder and like 3 supplemental picks, so they have to spread their $ around. However I wouldn't hold my breath on him.

He's asking for 1.75 but I've heard he'll take 1 mil. I'd say he's gone.

Conversely with Lee's situation being drafted by the best possible team, Cecchini got picked by one of the worst for us imo.

Didn't know this about Cecchini, but Gausman would be eligibile.

Seems unlikely, taking off the P&G glasses....
it has nothing to do with P&G glasses. before the Dodgers ever picked, there were rumors being reported everywhere that the Dodgers would not be signing their first-round pick due to the mess the divorce is causing. they save money this way and get a compensation pick next year, when they probably figure the organization will be in better shape. we'll see how it actually plays out, but the optimism is based on the Dodgers' situation, not Lee (although if his $3 million+ demand is for real and not just a negotiating ploy, that'll definitely help).

Then he needs to come to LSU so he can move up
