What does he play at LSU? 2nd with Jones moving to SS?

what would happen if a team took him and offered him a Million? I'm not that clear about the new CBA.

they can't with slotted money. unless someone else they pick takes WAY less money then is rightfully owed them.

There is now a salary cap on what teams can spend on their draft picks. If they exceed their cap they will be taxed heavily for doing so and could even possibly lose future picks.
Also, let's say they have 10 million to spend on their first 10 picks. If they don't sign one of their first 10 picks, let's say a guy slotted at 1.5 milllion, that 1.5 million is still counted against their salary cap. So, they are now really concentrating on guys who they think will play ball instead of hopes.

ok, so each team has a hard cap for the entire draft and if they go over they get taxed and or lose picks.

I believe it's only for the first 10 rounds.
They have a suggested slotted amount for the first 10 rounds and when they exceed that amount they are subject to tax.
After round 10 I don't believe they can sign for >$100k.

Ya I read it dick. I was just trying to share a link I found. It would be great if he comes to LSU but I don't think they're drafting a high school player right there after they talked to him unless he indicated he would sign.
