The bottom line is we won and in a spirit crushing manner. They used more pitchers than we did and their probable starter for tonights game.
This makes me feel good...

And to the Texas fan that saw nothing wrong with the dude curtain calling in the 4th inning of a one run game...you have never played or watched much baseball have you? Seriously? MLB players do it, but not all the time. driving in 6 or 7 runs...knocking in the go ahead run in the bottom of the 8th in a playoff game...having a great game after slumping, have a great game after coming back from an injury...not after a 4th inning solo shot. I can guarantee you will never see a MLB player do that shite.

It might have been brought up earlier in this thread, but the guy didn't just randomly come out for a curtain call. The fans behind the dugout were chanting his name both times. They were calling him out the dugout. It's lame that the fans did a curtain call after 1 homerun, but it's not like the player decided to just walk out and tip his hat.

i noticed a guy in burnt orange texas t-shirt getting all up in the face of some lsu fans after like the 2nd homerun.

I saw that too. LSU guy caught the ball and UT fan was all up in his grill.

I totally agree that Texas is, was and always will be 100% douche. And I am so glad they were acting like douche's Monday because it HAS to have done nothing but completely motivate all of the Tiger players. However, if 18-21 yr. olds here nothing all week other than they are about to get their arse handed to them by a far superior team and if 22,000 fans in the stadium are rooting for LSU then perhaps it pissed them off to the point they were being even bigger arse clowns than usual.

They have to beat us two in a row and that just isn't going to happen.

Tell that to Fresno State, last year's national champs. Lost the first game to UGA, trailed in the 2nd game, but came back to win it all.

It ain't over till it's over. Anything can happen...last night proved that. I like UT's chances against your starter tonight (Ross). Kid got roughed up against UVA and Arky and has an ERA of 5. The key for Texas will be Jungmann and how well he starts out. If you guys put up a lot of runs early and chase him, we won't be able to recover. However, if we win tonight and force game 3, I think we win it.

Oh, and I agree that the curtain calls after the solo homers were lame and less than classy. As was Austin Wood's behavior that got caught on camera. Not all UT fans revere Augie as a god. I think he's a great coach but sometimes he needs to check his ego at the door. He caught a lot of flack in 2004 when he and the team refused to come out of the locker room to accept the runner-up trophy. That was a slap in the face to Cal State-Fullerton as the deserving champs and gave the program a bit of a black eye.

Curtain calls are usually in response to an awesome display of noise and admiration from the crowd; not 20 fans (probably family) chanting your name. Isn’t this the same Texas team that wouldn’t celebrate their super regional win with a “dog pile” because it would have been premature?
Additionally, even if the response from the crowd is absolutely awesome, most players will still not give a curtain call unless the circumstances are just right (late inning, game winning homer, last game you are ever going to play, etc). None of these things applied to the curtain call from the Texas boys.

I like LSU's chances against Jungman. He looked like shite last night & would've gotten lit up had he been left in there.

Wow! Didn't come out for their trophy? That is terrible sportsmanship and tells you a lot about the kind of person the coach is.

I agree 100%. He had some lame excuse for it at the post-game presser. It was classless and a sign of poor sportsmanship.
