Wow. So that's that.

I'm suddenly very nervous. Please don't screw this up, LSU.

This is crazy and too soon. I would not be opposed to firing him later in the season like November, but there is no advantage in firing him now.

Yes there is. It alerts potential coaches the job is open, it allows recruits to adjust regarding if they stick with LSU, wait to see who the next coach is, or if theyre only committed because of Miles, it allows them to decommit now and choose another school.

There are LOTS of advantages. They have to pay him either way. It would have been miserable waiting the entire season, I can assure you. You would really want LSU to get embarrassed in November? Whats the advantage of that? We're TIRED of idiot game plans and dysfunctional showings. Its so overkill at this point.

You may be right. Only reason I can think of is to get qualified applicants to express interest quietly through their agents.

O did good as interim at USC. Downside is if he doesn't get the job he will likely be gone. Other question. I wonder who runs the offense? Craig?

Has to be Craig, right?

As for Coach O, I consider it a 'win-win' of sorts. We go balls out the rest of the season on O, D continues to bring the pain and the team finishes playing fast and loose; still may result in a 4 or 5 loss season, but at least you go down swinging in the process.

Either LSU gets their man in the coaching search or they realize O is the right choice. Like having him in the mix!

Ahem....

I admit, I was wrong, I said last night the presser was at 4 apparently it was reported a few minutes early. I think I still have a chance at a 4 pm presser though

Jizzamo311 - like I said....

Rhino, question answered from your thread...
