We have seen how good a coach he really is. Assembled a staff, recruited the right mix of players and had an epic, record setting season. No off the field issues to speak of, good disciplined play. Players presented themselves very well in media interviews. WON A NATTY. He IS a good coach.

Nothing about him says headcoach. He is very quiet on the sidelines, he is not a good recruiter, he over complicates the defense, and while he does show up at times in big games, overall he's been just ok. He's going to an offense driven conference where he won't have the players to be a defensive team. His assistants better be great coaches.

We won the National Championship by playing a base defense and letting the players make plays because Aranda was sucking it up so bad in the first half by over complicating the defense. I think we will be ok next year.

It's not like Rhule was doing such a bad job.. 11-3 is pretty good considering the shitstorm he inherited from Briles.

Not a big Aranda fan, but I wish him the best. I think LSU will be just fine next year on defense. Lots of talent returning and it will surely attract some big time coaches. My biggest gripe with Aranda was exactly what happened in the NC game. Clemson's defense forced us to adjust our offensive scheme. Our defense never forced teams to change their scheme. We let opposing offenses dictate to us and we adjusted accordingly. I want an DC that's going to cause problems for opposing teams from the beginning of the game and I think that's going to take LSU's defense to an even higher level.

It couldn’t of been any better of a situation unless O had a heart attack and was promoted as HC.
He’s going to make close to $6M and plays in a conference where they are in the hunt every season. Private schools like Baylor, TCU don’t have to disclose salaries. He’’ll make more than what’s reported.
