I think though if we finished with 1-loss some pollsters (if not the majority) put us above Boise.

And while I don't think it will end up being LSU, I think we'll have a 1-loss versus Boise/TCU this year

WE WON'T PLAY IN THE NC GAME THIS YEAR. WIN OUT AND GET A BCS BOWL GAME AS SECOND SEC SCHOOL (BAMA WILL HAVE 2 LOSSES). THIS IS WHAT OUR FUTURE HOLDS. NOT BAD.

Thanks for posting Matt. I always look forward to your BCS posts.

I don't understand to people that post on here "but LSU won't win another game you are crazy". I honestly think Chicken needs to have posters pass an IQ test to be allowed to post, room temp would be a good starting point.

LSU is not playing for the National Championship this season, but I'm shocked the computers still like LSU as much as they do. They have LSU at #6, but they have to pass 10 teams in front of them. LSU will finish 9-3 and play in a pretty decent bowl. Not bad for a team with zero QB play, but talent got the Tigers to this point. If Miles wants to keep his job after next season, he better bring in a QB that can throw to the ball to the best talent in the country!

Mizzou and Nebraska are both in the North Division and they play each other next week. B12CG is likely Mizzou/Neb winner vs the OU/OSU winner.

The computers will love us the rest of the year so I am not worried about that.

If we beat Bama which I think we have a good chance to IMO we will be up around #4 in the computers in two weeks.

My prediction is we drop a game to Arky, but finish 10-2 and go to the Sugar. I think AU wins out playing USC in the SECCG.

Auburn will play Oregon in the NC.

If we were to win out I could see us finishing #2 in the computers behind AU. The voters would never allow for a rematch though. We would get knocked down a few spots in the human polls because in that situation the possibility would be well known. Measures would be taken to prevent the blow up of the BCS.

The discrepancy between Bama's human poll ranking and computer poll ranking is hilarious. I see the computers as a merger of their personal record and SOS which obviously shows the human bias.

The computers have already spoken so far on the mid majors. No way they play for the NC unless there is some fricked up human voting or no more than 1 BCS conference team with 1 more loss than them. They will need a two loss cushion (IMO no way that happens).

Yeah, part of the problem is that Bama played Penn State, Florida, Arky, SC which all looked good at the time but have been just average as a whole, this the computers haven't given them much love.

But Bama has been pretty dominate in their wins, which the computers can't see. Wins over LSU, AU, and SECCG will take care of the computers for them.

Why should we just expect them to do this since USC straight up kicked their arse?

The computers say that Bama's 7-1 record against their schedule so far isnt as good as the voters say it is. My point is that is kind of funny as many experts still say they will still be in the NC.

You then said that the computers don't take into effect the their dominant wins. Then you said when they win out the computer score will be fine.

I asked why should we expect that to happen since they got their arse kicked by USC. I am guessing the computers just saw that as a loss instead of an arse kicking.

Matt,

given the gap in score between us and #13... is it safe to say we cannot be jumped next week while we lick our wounds?

Computers don't take into account MOV. One of the reasons LSU is doing well. 7-1 with our schedule is very, very good. How we got there is irrelevant to the computers.
