Wouldn’t Joe Aleva want to get a little jab in on UF by getting UCF to play a 2:1 with us instead?

Fake quote
quote:

“we found it quite easy to talk wjth UCF, unlike UF “, —future comment by Aleva.

-Danny White learned his lesson last week. UCF is not as powerful as they thought they were.
-All three games would very anticipated like the bowl game.
-It would show the fans & committees and most importantly, state of Florida recruits that we aren’t scared.
-they are a chippy team and would want to play an sec team.....especially after Devin White comments.

And that’s the problem with the upstarts like UCF and Boise State.

FSU was a girls school. They started football upon becoming co-Ed. They went anywhere without requiring a home and home and built themselves into a program.

FSU was not in a conference when they played everyone. The game has evolved.

The last time they (Bama) scheduled UCF at home, they lost. Facts matter.

I’m pretty sure that UCF AD stated that they would agree to a Home and Home plus Neutral site game, but not a 2 for 1. UF declined so Danny White went public to keep UCF in the media.

I'd take a home-n-home with them.

It has recruiting benefits and I'll never scoff at playing a OOC top-25 team. It's games like that make CFB that much more exciting.

It wasn't a 2-1 it was a 2 at UF and one at a neutral field. Because of our terrible AAC TV contract, we need as many home games as possible. We get $3M for our total TV contract, so unless someone pays us what we pay for a home game (about $3M), we can't do a payday road game or a 2-1. You arrogant SEC fans have no idea what it is like to have run a tight ship where paying the bills is an actual issue.

The consensus is that white screwed up.

He thought UCF was worth $5 when they were only worth 50 cents.

Which is my whole point. He wouldn’t want to come back to UF hat-in-hand.

LSU has a good 2:1 series with them. Nobody is having a home:home +neutral with UCF.

What about an OOC WINLESS team? That is what they were just 3 years ago. That always gets overlooked when talking about this school. They are the most entitled people I've ever seen. Scott Frost takes them from winless to undefeated in one year and all of a sudden they are the second coming of FSU? No dude, that isn't how it works. Frost saw his window and cruised after 1 year, those three letters will be unknown in 3 more years.

First of all, we're LSU fans, not SEC. We compete in, and often against, the SEC. We have billboards and shite that for that stuff.

Secondly, ask Boise how that 'positioning' your school works out in the long run. Yeah, you'll get one dude from SI or in Los Angeles voting you #1 every week... and that's about it.

Thirdly, throwing around insults like arrogant from a wannabe jort wearer isn't going to win anyone over to your side or get them to walk a micron in your shoes.

Our $40.9 MMUSD (2017) revenue sharing says STFU. Your $3 MMUSD is one game of shitty concessions at Death Valley. How much does the AAU give y'all? Don't like it, join another.

TCU did, without the mouthing off. It worked great for them. Boise... not so much.

Seems the arrogance comment is just deflection. Just like BSU. It's the silent one's you gotta watch. And that ain't ya'll.

Word was Bama tried to swap out Louisville fro the Knights but they wouldn't go for it. Too bad it didn't happen.

So now that says to me that UCF really is scared to play SEC in regular season.

I think LSU should be the third school to offer. Lowball them too. Offer them very little money to come here in a 2:1 But I do like playing in Orlando for recruiting purposes.

Make them say no to the SEC for the third time. Then they will shut the frick up.

One SEC West, One SEC East, One ACC and One Big 12. That ought to help balance out the rest of their AAC schedule.

Didn't want to start a thread so I'll leave this here: UCF fans still melting, and lying to themselves (very funny)

Two of their top threads are one with some guy claiming to have "proof" that LSU only had 3 players out for the game, and another trashing Burrow for being "classless" and a "punk," for reasons I couldn't entirely understand. Some were openly wishing the cheap shot would have given him a concussion.
