Overall/Pass Block/Run Block

Dellinger 56.6 / 85.7 / 50.2
Miles Frazier 57.2 / 57.6 / 54
Anthony Bradford 56.9 / 20.1 / 69
Will Campbell 59.5 / 46.2 / 66.7
Cameron Wire 52.8 / 40.5 / 59.0

Overall, our OL obviously graded out very poorly. Before the game I caught a lot of flack in this thread when I asked if Brad Davis was a good OL coach given the overall performance last year but we still had 3 OL from last year's team make NFL rosters.

I fully expect them to improve throughout the year but they better show drastic changes or I believe he'll be done at LSU going into next year

You do realize he improved those lineman by the second half of the year right? He has a true freshman playing LT, a guy who never played C in his life, a G who was a T, etc. Almost everyone on the line is playing out of position or have little to no experience.

Anyone who thought this line would mesh so quickly was setting themselves up for disappointment. They will get better. Not enough sample size to judge him as a coach yet.

No. 5 for FSU was a beast. He ate up both our tackles.

Question… you’re questioning Brad yet the man has been on the job for less than 2 years and this is his first recruiting class he has gotten in. Gotta give the man time. It’s not like James Creig helped the situation at all.

Someone posted the other night that we suck because we have a bunch of transfers from mid-majors. The best player on the field Sunday night came from Albany.

These grades come from people who watch the game, who have less than HS JV FB experience.

and people wonder why Jayden didn't look comfortable at all. Playcalling can't fix and O-Line that's not ready

OL was bad, but any reasonable fan should have expected it. Maybe not that bad, but these guys have never played together and have barely practiced together. Also, I think Kelly is more involved with the OL than any other position group, especially with personnel. He’s gonna be here 10 years and is probably looking at the OL from a more macro level than Davis. This might not have been the best group to put out there to have won that particular game, but I think Kelly thinks they have the higher ceiling to be playing at a higher level by the end of the season and going into next year than other combos. Not that Kelly was willing to sacrifice this—or any other game—but he’s trying to find the right balance of winning now and preparing to be in the best chance to win later. He has that luxury. Davis, who is probably coaching for his job this year like all the assistant coaches, may have chosen a different combo.

Or maybe not. But if I had to bet, he and Denbrock have less autonomy than any other coaches on staff because that is where Kelly feels like he can—and wants to—have the most input.

...and people got the nerve to blame Daniels for taking off running.

Jayden Daniels held the ball longer than any other SEC QB this week, 2.95 seconds on average.

QB is responsible for getting the OL lined up and help call out protection assignments.

Daniels failed miserably at that. It was a team failure.

THIS was the main area we expected them to struggle. From day 1, this was known and talked about by Kelly the media, and players. They are starting a true frosh a Left Tackle!

In return the gameplan made it look worse...never even ATTEMPT to establish a run, long plays, no misdirection.

Not sure this is on the Oline coach.

How in the hell would you know if Daniels called the right protection or not? OK, Coach Geauxgurt, Please give me some insight on what he called versus what he should've called.

...and it doesn't matter what pass protection was called when lineman are getting flat out beat at the point of attack or blown 3 yards into the backfield on their obvious "O-Tackle to DE" assignment. I can see that with my own eyes.
