Ban bet we do better than 3-9?

You have to be a member longer than a month to ban bet. A lot longer.

I actually think we win 5 or 6 total this year.

And Alleva and O STILL need to be fired.
The expectation/requirement was for him to exceed Les’ average.

It will kill this program for several years.

We should be able to recover quickly as soon as we get rid of Orangutan. Let's say we run him off next November. The Class of 2019 grew up watching a good LSU program, so the new coach will be able to salvage that recruiting class. We'll still have some of CLM's last two classes. The new coach can go 8-4 in 2019 and that tells everyone we're on the way back up. 9-3 or 10-2 in 2020 would continue that trend. We might stumble in 2021-22 with a low number of good upperclassmen, but as long as it's not a trainwreck we get through it. Saban will retire by then or shortly after and nobody will want to follow him. Right hire to replace Orangutan will set us up to take full advantage of the power vacuum.

If they start losing money during home games they'll fire him. That shite will cost them a lot more than 12 million over the course of two seasons. The football profits not only frick with athletics in general but they also give a shite ton of money to the academic side of things and people will be straight up pissed if that is affected.

Yup, 2 years.

No way Alleva doesn't get fired. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is laughing at not only the hire considering he has a time advantage with regards to a search, but also the ridiculous contract he gave someone that no one wanted. You simply can't come back from that.

With that being said, they probably won't make any sort of move until after the season, and then they have to take time to hire the right AD, and that AD needs time to hire the right coach.

Seeing as you get rid of a coach right after a season ends to let the new guy recruit, get his assistants, and install his system, I highly expect O to get next year while the new AD starts his search.

Unless some big money comes in and pays the buyout I believe you are right. Remember, a little over a year ago the state was talking about shutting down the football program because of budget cuts. Paying 2 multiple-million buyouts, not likely. Maybe Alleva could help Les find a job and get LSU off the hook. Maybe at Tennessee?
