Although very disgruntled when Jack arse Alleva hired O as head coach, I sucked it up and said , Hey Tigers above the hire and pulling for the team . Still hoping that things can get turned around this weekend , though I have my doubts. Anyway, host on AFR said yesterday that no way will LSU continue to pay 9 million dollar buy out to Les and then another 12 million to O , not to mention assistants etc. So upwards of 22 to 23 million in buyouts to let O go this year if the trend continues in the direction that it seems to be headed. If we finish 0-8 in the Conference or even 1-7 it would seem to me that 22 to 23 million prorated over several years in the future will be a drop in the bucket compared to the loss of revenues that will happen with such a poor showing on the football field. What do most of you think?

The whole narritive is going to change when our record is actually 3-9. He doesn't last two more years.

If we win less than 5 then he is absolutely done

Question is when/if they will fire Alleva

You can't screw with the money making program

It depends on how bad the financial damage gets.
It will be a purely business decision. If the revenue for tickets, shirts, food, endorsements, etc falls to the point where they are going to loose more than 10 million in the next 12 months or so, they will make a financial decision to get ahead of the situation. It all becomes which is more expensive, Otards buyout or the losses in revenue.

Realistically, I could see him finishing out this season and making it a few games into the next just because it would be a bad look to go fire crazy on coaches. With that said, I want O gone right now.

Alleva will take the fall this year, and O will get at least 2.

He gone after 2018 but the big question is how bad he will f&ck up the program by the time he leaves

and then another 12 million to O

Stuff like this is why moscona is a moron with no credibility. The buyout is not $12 million anymore.

I have always maintained he will be fired after year 2. Alleva won't be around by the start of the 2018 season.

I think they sacrifice alleva to try to stem the bad publicity with fans, but realistically have no choice but to give o another year. I think he gets next year, the buyout goes to 3.5-4.0 or so, and gets canned unless he turns it around. (Not gonna happen)

Matt believes it would be karma for him to advocate termination, I think.

LSU shouldn't worry about this, we went from a proram of 8 to 11 win seasons every year to a team who likely won't see a bowl for the first time in forever. This is very serious stuff that can set us back for a while if we don't end it quickly. One more year can set LSU back a lot, between recruiting as well

If we can be competitive in SEC play and win the games we should then CEO will be here next year. I do think that Alleva and several coaches won't be here next season.

If we completely tank then all of them are gone. The fans will be out for blood. It will kill this program for several years.

IF LSU goes winless in the SEC this year and the two degenerates, Alleva and King decide to keep him, I will stand in protest and cancel my TAF donation. I will send the monies I have budgeted for LSU football to the LSU foundation instead. If O goes winless in the SEC and decides to keep him is only delaying the inevitable and of what we already know. keeping him does far far far more damage.
