I make fun of Coach Mc at times, it helps me cope lol, but I easily root for the guy and hope he can win for us. That's what I care about.
My biggest issue with Coach Mc wasn't even the 2-16 SEC record disaster. It's that multiple times we're down 8-10 points with 3 minutes left and he just seemed to want to run the clock out and accept the loss. There are other issues, but Coach needs some fire in him.

I’m gonna say next to zero percent. Not because he’s a sucky coach or anything like that. But because he didn’t inherit the same situation as the others.
Mulkey was already a nationally known championship coach who already had connections to a couple transfers she brought in and brought in several more with her name and the LSU name combined.
Johnson was handed the keys to a Ferrari. The pitching depth was limited, but the roster was already loaded with talent like Crews, Dugas, Thompson, Beloso, Morgan, Floyd etc. Even Milazzo, Travinski and some others. It took a year to get the pitching brought in plus Tanks, but that team was already very close to being championship competitive based on talent.
Even Kelly was given a roster with quite a bit of talent even if severely lacking depth.
McMahon is a little known coach from a small school in a minor conference who inherited a roster of 1-2 very average players and then had to piece it together on short notice and depended on transfers from a mid level conference to come play big boy ball in the SEC. He could be great, but it’s gonna take a lot more than 2 years to fix that train wreck

The Will Wade lovers are the worst thing on this board. Dude paid players stupidly and was a horribly overrated in game coach.

If MM wins a national championship this year, all logic and perspective that we have on college sports will be completely obsolete. I’m not sure that’s saying a lot or changes anything because we’re all idiots, but yeah

What was wrong with Wade’s in-game coaching? This gets thrown around quite frequently, but I’m not aware of any non-debatable situations where this is true. Please enlighten us

Really, 38 scholarship players and multiple areas of huge need starting with OL??? Worst special teams I have ever seen in 40+ years and worst offensive backfield in 20+ years.

Funny, the IARP couldn’t find any credible evidence that he paid players. Not saying it didn’t happen, but if he was so “stupid” about it, why didn’t he get caught?
