Agreed. And in the spring Neal as just been as good as Milazzo behind the plate.

Has he been? Legitimate question, as I haven't been able to make it to any scrimmages so I can't comment on his play.

That Neal will be an all American and first round draft pick....? You just described about as well rounded of a catcher as you can possibly get at the college level

That’s the projection.

I'll go on record that Milazzo will be much improved with bat and hit above .240

Y’all realize just catching a pitched ball is a massive upgrade over last year? Take whatever Milazzo gets us at the plate as icing on the cake. Neil too.

He hit .100 during fall ball, but he is an elite defensive catcher (no, he isn't)
He hit nearly 0.200 and Jay has said he’s one of the best catch and throw catchers he’s ever seen… but don’t let that stop you and your feelings.

The difference between his 1.5 pop time and Neal’s 1.8 isn’t big enough to justify .100 and .300.

Not crapping on a player but, Neal is not as proficient as Milazzo in all the areas needed to be an elite catcher at this level, such as smothering pitches in the dirt and holding runners on base. I have seen every inning both catchers have caught since fall scrimmages started and Neal is good but not at Milazzo's level in other things a good catcher should be expected to handle. With so many new pitchers on this staff, Milazzo's experience behind the plate will be important to the defense as well as the pitchers' success. I think Neal will be a really good catcher for us but, he needs time to learn all the nuances of playing an important position at this level. Both will play this season and I hope Neal progresses as the games go by; He is our future catcher.

Nothing you posted has anything to do with what I posted or what I responded to. Glad you got it off your chest though.

Agree on the defense. But what if Milazzo is really hitting .100 or below?

They’re both going to get significant playing time, there’s no need to overthink it.

I was a college catcher. I know Scuba’s point. But Milazzo isn’t going to hit and it doesn’t matter how good of a catcher he is if he’s 0 for 30 in SEC play the first 3 weekends.

Youre the second poster this week claiming to play college ball after saying stupid shite. Did you turn down LSU too because you didn’t care about playing in front of big crowds or winning championships?

I could care less what he hits. That shite last year was ridiculous.
