Odd question and not a negative you downvoting SOB’s

But.... on the Trophy last night I thought it should have stated “Louisiana State University “ not just LSU which I thought was maybe rushed or maybe how our school asked them to put on the Trophy since it’s our call sign if u will.

Why it didn’t say “Louisiana State University” on the award. They usually place the full name not shortened

LSU prefers to be called LSU over “Louisiana State University.”
We actively ask the media to refer to us as LSU.
The reason is because that market research has shown that the term “LSU” is much more recognizable than the full name.
Believe it or not, there are people out there in our nation who cannot connect “Louisiana State University” to “LSU.” There are fewer people who hear “LSU” and not connect it to... “LSU.”

Ok thanks for the answer if thats honestly the case it does make sense. Again I just figured with this award it would be stated in full the University’s name
