The LSU/Texas and LSU/Georgia games have been re-played over and over again the last few days.

After watching some of these games again, Burrow is sneaky fast at scrambling away from pressure in the pocket.

It seems like every time I look up at the TV the dude is running for 15 yards.

I know LSU's WRs are going to make plays against our smaller DBs but I'm also worried about Burrow just running through gaping holes if we miss on blitzes.

These games are always so hard to predict with the layoff. Will it help OU's defense given time to prepare? Will there be rust with LSU's offense?

I think LSU scores in the upper 30s and OU scores in the upper 20s or lower 30s.

He is the best QB in college football for the exact reasons you mentioned. Sorry to tell you, but this game will be a game of; can OU’s offense keep up?

This is the worst OU offense we've had in the last 4 years.

This isn't the same OU team. Our stats are great because the Big 12 sucks.

OU is going to try to run the ball, slow it down, and play keep away to keep the defense off the field.

Our defense is improved by still not where it needs to be. We're still a good team and will bring it though. It should be fun.

Too low. LSU will score 42-48 points.

More worried about rust with LSU's defense... and the chip on shoulder that OU will be bringing on offense especially.

The LSU offense is a well oiled, efficient scoring machine.

If LSU D shows up flat, it's gonna be a toss up. If Hurts turns the ball over though, it's gonna be a really long night for OU.

I’m concerned about Jalen scrambling for big yards.

Burrow has an amazing ability to scramble while seeing downfield at the same time. It is also why when he runs he knows which alleys are there.

If I have any concerns, this would the one. I believe that Aranda has corrected this and a healthy Delpit is huge, but we've seen this guy rip off big runs in the past and it has been a weak spot in the LSU defense.

I haven't had a chance to watch film on OU, who do they use in the slot primarily and does Jalen target him?

I'll be honest, I still believe LSU's biggest weakness is our ability to cover our of the nickle position. We have done better with run assignments lately and our Cb's are lights out. If OU is going to consistently gain yardage it has to be by getting a mismatch on our nickel or LB. From what I am hearing Jalen is still primarily a 1 read and run QB. I dont see that being successful enough to keep up with Joe.

Oklahoma is going to have to play a perfect game and turnover free at that to have a shot. LSU is going to get their 40+ points no matter what and Oklahoma is going to have to play perfect and try to score with them without giving LSU free possessions and gain a big lead...even then, it's going to take lsu just making mistakes and turning the ball over for OU to win this game. I'm not downplaying ou at all, it's just a fact that's been proven time and time again this season against very good competition. LSU is just extremely good lol. Good luck, but I just don't see Oklahoma possibly being able to win vs this LSU team. I see it being something like LSU 48 Oklahoma 31. Something like that. Geaux tigers.

I'm concerned about our LB's getting out of position on counters and Jalen ripping us on the ground. Other than that, we will put up over 40 for sure. Can OU put up 50? I don't think so.

I think a lot of unknowns in these games. Who will be affected by 3 week layoff, how will LSU deal with a big game QB that doubles as a big tailback, are all the off field obligations going on right now a distraction and will our guys remain focused? And something both teams have to be concerned about is the turf MB in Atlanta. Against Georgia players were sliding all over the place. UGA had at least 2 season ending injuries involving no contact.

Joe was a dual threat quarterback coming out of high school. Last year they used him a lot late in the season in the run game.

It's a challenge because, as we saw, Joe is both great with time and great under pressure. Now, Auburn ran a containment strategy pretty well, typically a 3-1-7 scheme, but their 3 are fantastic. Our running game had not quite developed, yet. UGA tried the same scheme at spots (and they all but shut down our running game - of course, that's what they do), but it didn't work as well for them. We continued to get explosive plays and, frankly, that game wasn't as close as the score suggests.

So, how do I see your Sooners doing? That offense is electric and the defense is playing very well lately (first half of the Big 12 notwithstanding). Hurts is also a dynamic, playmaking "got to have it" kind of guy. Having said that, he hasn't faced DBs like we have. We've been hurt by mobile QBs this year and that might be OU's edge over any team we've played except Ole Miss.

Defensively, I agree that it will be tough for your guys to keep Joe and Company out of the upper 30s/maybe 40s. Your offense sustaining drives, getting points by any means necessary, limiting turnovers and just hanging with LSU in the first half will be key. OU is a great team who may be gelling at the right time. A great team who can keep it close can win in the end.

Georgia tried that. At least it looked like they did

Not really. Georgia came out throwing and throwing bombs. They just couldn’t complete any.
