This is always the thing that baffles me, Ben. I will never understand it.

“Except the fact he had it done it before”
It’s interesting that some have come to the conclusion, based off their personal opinion alone, that a coach who reached the elite status in results at LSU couldnt ever do it again. They hold that conclusion even though the results demonstrate that the guy did it not once in his career but twice.
08 -09 had people shouting from the rooftops that LSU would never be relevant again in college football or ever again beat a top 20 team. It didn’t take long for that falsehood to be put to rest.
It’s unfortunate for Coach O in one respect and that is the fact that he’s had to come behind Nick and Miles at LSU. Great or even elite seasons for LSU come with west titles or SEC titles or national championship game appearances. Hopefully, he is able to obtain one of those in 2019 and put much of these types of discussions to rest.

Les miles beat Saban multiple times won a natty played for another.
O is literally 1 bad season away from getting canned.

Be nice, Ben. I know what you meant now.

Good point. Time will tell. Same for a guy that never reached the championship game. I remember a time when everyone doubted our coach could ever reach the title game.... was it 2005 or more recently?

I agree with a lot of what you're saying, I'll add that he will have to get a different attitude/approach to offensive playcalling and being more aggressive to become an "elite" coach that wins championships. His lack of aggressiveness has cost him some games. That being said, I think this past season was good and obviously could have been better with wins against aTm and Florida. He also better find a way to land some elite OT's.

Not really.

What is the streak at now?
How long has Eaux been the head coach of the team that couldn't beat Saban before he took over?

Glad you mentioned this Ree!!!!
Another loss in Tuscaloosa next year, and Edward Orgeron will have tied Les Miles regular season losing streak to Alabama.
Although, I don't remember Miles getting shut out two of three times.

Damn. Ree is going to have to put some ice on himself to bring down the swelling after that.

Btw, why did you say "your" best win? Are you not an LSU fan as in "we"?
43 years and counting of season tickets and 100’s of thousands of dollars donated / spent / tuition / life at LSU including working for the school while in school. I have put 3 kids through school and my grandson graduated in 2008.
Going to the New Orleans and celebrating that win over tOSU was the 7th best day of my life and one that will be celebrated once again when I die by my wishes of having newspaper and SI put in my casket.

Are you throwing in the towel already like the other poster who doesn't follow college football?

Okay, last response to you. This is very weird. Some guy predicting wins and losses next season and you think it has to do with feelings. Are you a chick?
Posted on 2/9/19 at 11:40 am to Tiger Ree
No one was predicting wins or losses. He was merely making a statement based on a hypothetical.
As far as being a chick, I’m not the one that has a weird emotional attachment to a college football head coach. I’m sure O is flattered by the attention that he receives from you though. The pictures are a hoot.
