Les miles beat Saban multiple times won a natty played for another.
What is the streak at now?
How long has Eaux been the head coach of the team that couldn't beat Saban before he took over?
O is now 0-6 vs. Saban and 0-3 vs. Miles.

Well, there it is. And you call me the stupid one.
The lowered expectations of the O era, ladies and gentlemen.

The shite on this board got out of hand a long time ago. it's the admins fault for not handling up on it to begin with.
So which side should be banned?

Says the guy that says take out the 2011 season and Coach O is on par with one of the best coaches in SEC history and calls other people Miles nut huggers. What would you consider what you're doing with O here?
Take out this past year and then the current head coach doesn't compare favorably to the majority of SEC head coaches, much less any past LSU head coach that's won a NC.
The "take out this part" logic is funny. You do it for one coach you have to do it for the other.

I addressed that one earlier. He obviously thought Kiffin was coming.
I don't know why he thought Kiffin was coming. He gave him the finger here just like he did when he tried to hire him at USC. And as for your earlier post stating it's time to get over it, I'll get over it when he hires someone more qualified than Steve f'n Ensminger to run the offense.

Of course he will be compared to that group...as will most of his sucessors. Two of the listed coaches are legendary in the history of the program.
If O can exceed les' record on the field, then he would become the winningest coach in the history of the program and would become legendary, too.

Fair or not, if we don’t win the west or make the playoffs this coming season his coaching seat will become increasingly warm.
I agree. As I have said, O needs to win every game that has LSU as favorite and 1/2 of those LSU is underdog. That puts losses at 1-2 per regular season. He won't be fired this year if he loses 3 games, but there needs to be vast offensive improvement if he hopes to only have a warm seat.

That's actually what made his stubbornness so frustrating for me and I was a huge Les Miles fan.

Aren’t you the guy that wanted O to be hired

I'm not saying that any side should be banned at all. Chicken should just appoint me to moderate the board. I could get creative and totally avoid bannage.

Or maybe O can make it to the playoffs next year and we can all be happy instead of just those with low standards.

The standards must match your IQ.
You dont get it. We're stuck with O for now...good or bad.
We have a dysfunctional athletic dept who made an incredibly easy and near-sighted hire with O...who in turn brought in Father Time as OC.
All the bitching in the world and pining for Miles won't change that.
DWI.

Well, all of the people that vote in the polls and/or are paid to evaluate the season call it the 6th best season of all the NCAA football teams. So, it's not really something anyone needs to apologize for IMO.

Wait. You don't think that 10 and 3 is a successful season?

I think it will be our best chance to make the playoffs since they started.
This lowered standards crap is what needs to stop. I think most fans believe we should’ve won Florida and got shafted at A&M. But some fans choose to look for the positives in the program going forward than being negative.
Finished ranked 6th.
Senior QB returning that only had a few mos in system last year.
Oline should be improved with experience and coaching
2 stud rbs coming in.
WR’s have more experience and timing with QB.
The defense will be what they always are.
The rest of the country is high on LSU and will be going into next season. The only ones that aren’t are the posters who love CLM

Ive said this before brother...
Why was it ok for you to bash miles every chance you had but everyone should just shut up about O?

Like it or not, that's simply going to be a fact of his tenure.
Why?
A) Les - that's who he succeeded and who was fired for (you can fill in the blank but in a word) underachievement. It was expected of him to win more than 8-9 games/yr.
B) Saban - main competition in the SECW; pacesetter in CFB
C) Jimbo/Herman - because those are the two guys he was ostensibly hired instead of.
If he wants to be considered a "success" he's going to have exceed Les's record and beat the others on the field.
I don't really think being compared to other coaches has been or will be a big thing with Orgeron. He'll sink and swim on his own. I think it was a much bigger thing with Miles. It was inevitable that he would always be compared to Saban. The only one I see O being compared to to any extent by many people is Jimbo, and if he wins, I don't think you'll even see a hell of a lot of that.
Also, I think the "be considered a success" part is so amorphous as to be pretty much meaningless. Considered a success by who? The range of opinions on something like that will always be all over the place. Some will consider an 8 win season a success. Others will consider a 1 loss season without a NC a failure.
