We all know O’s tenure as LSU head coach is over. Deep down O probably knows it to be true as well. Woodward probably doesn’t want to fire the head coach during homecoming week. Let O say goodbye to his seniors and let them have this week. After the inevitable beat down Saturday you thank O for helping to assemble that 2019 team and send his arse down the road.

He is here for the haul. Just stop stressing yourself out. It will be toward end of season, likely after Bama.

If Orgeron was going to be fired mid season, it would have been after the Kentucky loss. A blowout loss in Lexington is about as humiliating as it gets.

Yet O still took the podium today.

I suspect after Ole Miss if he loses both UF and OM games. That way there is a 2 week transition and stabilization period before the Bama game.

It won't be next week. If it wasn't this week, it won't be next week. Let it get to 3-5 and soon to be 3-6 before he gets let go. 2 weeks before Bama just makes sense.

So 2 weeks before Bama or Monday after Bama.

Bro if the Kentucky blowout didn’t can him, he isn’t gone until after A&M

It won’t be after Bama. That’s not something you want in your legacy. If it’s not this week then it will be at the end of the season or after Arky.

It'll happen after Arkansas smokes us in the "battle for the golden boot" rivalry game

Arky has consistently found ways to beat us when we don't want them to, this year they'll do us a favor and bury the knife deep in O's chest and ensure his demise

It doesn't make much sense to keep Orgeron this week if you are going to fire him after Florida.

I think it's too early for Woodward. I think, barring Orgeron doing or saying something very dumb, the next opportunity to logically fire hi is after the Alabama game.

Please stop, this is getting fricking ridiculous. Woody is one thousand times smarter than the shite stains we had with Miles. We would lose all our recruits and not be certain about any coach coming here if we fire CEO now. Recruiting would go to shite and lots of kids would transfer out of the unstable program.

CEO getting canned right now would be the worst thing for the program and Woody knows it. Woody has time to compile his list and start putting out feelers behind the scenes. When CEO does get canned, rest assured that there will be no lag and the new hire will be announced quickly.

this reasoning is dumb and makes zero sense. Why would players care when they already know this guy won’t be here when they enroll

I disagree, the worst thing for this program and recruiting is continuing to put that same product out on the field we saw last week against Kentucky.

uh, that's a double edged sword. The only way to marginally be able to recruit right now is to make a coach that's going to stay the interim. That way, a Raymond for example, can deliver the company line and bridge the time between now and when the new hire occurs.

Keeping Orgeron doesn't help. Firing Orgeron itself doesn't help.
