Will you actually survive if he isn’t?

Still looks like Daniels is getting the bulk of the first team reps.

Less than 2 weeks till kickoff, you’d think Nuss would be getting those reps if he was the guy.

That’s what I called Johnny Manziel. That’s who the kid reminds me of is Broanny Chayziel.

Let me repost the dime that JD threw to Boutte to be fair. I didn’t even see it.

Doesn't even show that he threw it. Might have been Tavion Faulk for all we know.

He has a great chance. He looks healthy. What is weird is we still have a lot of Nuss haters even though Brennan is gone.

I really just don’t get why fans hate on the guy. He was a true freshmen last year. He has made significant improvements this year and has a great coaching staff around him.

Both made great passes. DB was on BTJ like white on rice. Welch going to be a good one.

Yes from what I've heard, Nuss looked better than Daniels in practice today, but Daniels got more rep's with the 1's. We'll see how it plays out

He also heaved one into the end zone when he was being rushed on 3rd down in the end zone falling away that should have been an interception, but the DB dropped it.

I don’t think there’s any question he’s got a better arm than Daniels, but 1) his decision making is still an issue (which is fine—he’s still really young and inexperienced and will get better), and 2) he doesn’t bring that element of Daniels’ legs, which may wind up being a bigger part of the offense than we thought because it appears Emery is 3rd string and not poised for the breakout season we all just kinda assumed he would (not that we really had any tangible reason to think it).

And he doesn’t have Daniels’ experience, which I think is being very undervalued. Everybody wants to say “but yeah, it’s just against PAC12 defenses,” but they’re all D1 athletes coached by professional coaches making millions of dollars. Even if they’re as terrible as a lot of y’all think (they’re not, but even if they are), he’s still seen 29 games of looks and different game plans. That’s valuable. How valuable we can debate and disagree, but it is a piece. I love Nuss—I’ve said before I wanted him to start over Max last year—and think he’s gonna be a really good, maybe great, QB at LSU eventually. But it’s not gonna be against FSU unless Daniels gets hurt between now and then.
