If GN can protect the ball he can do great things. His head needed to age a little, if it has and the game slows down a little , he’s going to be a huge break out player this season

Do you think Brennan would still be here if he knew he wasn't starting.

Yes

There is no way a real coach would promise time

O woulda.

The last time anybody saw these 3 play in real games , Brennan was easily the best. I’d be surprised if he isn’t the starter in game 1. I’d also be surprised if he doesn’t get injured. We will need all 3. I hope the other 2 really are good enough to challenge Brennan for the job. That would be a good problem to have.

It’s dumb to say nobody was interested in Brennan in the portal. He could start for a lot of schools.

This has been the case for years. Won’t change. Joe burrow would stay and throw with the WR’s Brennan would leave.

Maybe sometimes 5 year guys don't appear to be working as hard as the new guys

You are the one doing the trolling because you can't accept the fact that the object of your emotional attachment is not only not winning the starting job, but he actually doesn't really want to win the starting job. Indeed, that's not why the object of your emotional attachment recommitted back to LSU.

He recommitted back to LSU so he can continue to collect his NIL. As he could care less about winning the starting job. In fact, if he really cared about winning the starting job, he would have been out there every day this summer throwing to the receivers with Nuss and Daniels.

However, Brennan barely ever showed up and the reason why he barely ever showed up is obvious. Indeed, it's because all he wants is his NIL. As he has accepted his fate that he won't ever be an NFL QB and now, you must let go of your emotional attachment to Brennan and come to terms back with reality again.

Absurdity.

I'm going to laugh when it's something ridiculous like Brennan doesn't put the extra effort in because he already knows he has the starting job lined up. He may just be way ahead mentally than the other guys by itself.

No, I'm not being serious.

I just want us to win whoever does that I'm fine with. Sad part is when starter is announced some people will shite on them becauase the person they wanted didn't get the nod. Smh

If it’s really too close a competition to call today, why would Coach choose to go with someone that would cause him to have the same problem next year, picking a starter, that he is having this year?

If Brennan is this sure fire starter that some portray him to be, why is he seemingly having such a problem shaking off basically newcomers to LSU when he’s been here since 2017?

Brennan may recognize the limitations he has physically and is keeping his options open for a future in coaching. If my mentor for QB coaching in the past was void of an offensive leader like CBK, offensive coordinator like Mike Denbrock and QB coach Sloan, perhaps the familiarity of the same school, friends, etc. makes sense to sharpen focus on all that can be learned.

He will soon have to decide if he's content with chicken finger and Hollingsworth Ford money and being QB3 or if he wants to hit the portal and try his hand starting at a smaller school. I've been saying for weeks that Myles isn't the guy and every poster on here has been getting their feelings hurt over it

Myles has talent. But he's also got one year. I just don't understand the point of going with him and then starting over with someone else next year. If Nuss becomes the starter, you get two years of play and Howard is lined up nicely to be in the starting role. What happens if Brennan starts? You get one year of Nuss before you move Howard up? Is Nuss going to hang around in that case? I'm just a fan in the cheap seats, but where I'm sitting it just seems like one of the guys with two years or more would be the better play from a strategic perspective.

I agree with you 100%. If this season is going to be a rebuilding year, let's break in a qb that's going to be around next year when we have a chance to make a run

This just isn't accurate. He went 1-2 with a 60% completion percentage and was absolutely abysmal on 3rd down and in the red zone

I don't give a shite if Brennan wins the job or not but this "point" doesn't really make sense.
