this create the assumption that this will linger throughout the season?

It depends on the severity and response to treatment and the only one who knows that is his tendon. If it’s minor and responds, it could be nothing pretty quickly.

There’s a scrimmage tomorrow. He’s going to play.

When that happens you should finally STFU.

idk how to feel about this. glad it wasn't an ACL but doesn't this create the assumption that this will linger throughout the season?

It will linger, but I would imagine it will be more troublesome during the week when he feels it. They'll have to manage it throughout the season. I'd imagine he'll get shot up before each game.

They need to shut him down for a week or two for therapy and hope it heals quick.

I am going to assume that he has been checked out by a slue of medical professionals and they are handling it the most appropriate way.

It’s worse than shin splints. It’s a dull to sharp pain under your kneecap that really flares up after sitting down for a little bit or bending your knee.

Nussmeier need not be touched by anyone at practice ever.

That's why QBs wear red jerseys. They don't take hits in practice

My buddy who is a PT said almost every athlete deals with patella tendinitis. It’s just a product of wear and tear.

I think we’re back!

Scone was ridiculous for even Scone the other day in locked in. Spent the first half of pod talking about all he does is create content all day. Supposed to be about Nuss. All he does is rehash others reporting.

that was with elite pass protection last season

It was elite for 2/3 of the season. Once Dellinger went down, that changed. When Bradford was out for part of UF and injured, it was even worse.

It was clear that something was going on.

“He will be fine. No need to panic”

Means “something is up and only the people with inside info are equipped to handle this. The rest of you idiots calm down.”

It fooled nobody. I was waiting for this update.

Also, you can rest assured if it was really nothing, we would have no clue about it. It’s more than what they are saying.

Ah circling back around to my idea.

Let him watch practice till the Clemson game.

You didn't get enough down votes last time and got thirsty for more?

He's not going to not practice for a month and just roll out on to the field against a top 10 team on the road.

I've personally dealt with patella tendinitis and while it's not fun to deal with it shouldn't prevent him from playing. Might hurt like a mofo after a game though

The Cover3 podcast just covered this at the top of their latest episode about Camp Reports.

Bud Elliot said he was told a Defensive Lineman’s knee brace made contact with Nuss’s knee and that caused it. Based on the diagnosis we now have from the team, maybe that knock was enough to trigger pain from the PT?

Elliot could be wrong but he has some good sources around CF. I just thought I would share what they said on the show for context if it hasn’t been already.

I love how all of this has just completely re-validated Saban’s “Catastrophe Syndrome” diagnosis of our fanbase.
