Analytics on Nuss
1st in PEN (expected points added on drawing penalties)
2nd in EPA (expected points added, after the game is decided)
3rd in PASS (expected points added on pass attempts)
6th in PAA (points that a player contributes to his team, above the level of an average quarterback.) Dart is 2nd
16th in QBR (adjusted for the strength of opposing defenses) Beck is 12th, Ewers is 10th, Dart is 5th
Devil’s advocate, the items in bold are not efficiency metrics. For some reason ESPN reports total EPA on their Total QBR page instead of EPA/play (which is actually an efficiency metric).
I have no idea where he actually ranks in that regard as I don’t have a reliable source for player EPA/play data.. and I’m not about to do the manual calcs for every QB. Just pointing out that the ESPN rankings (other than Total QBR) you posted are totals. I suspect his EPA/play ranking is somewhere near his Total QBR ranking but could be wrong as I said.
I don’t think there’s anything crazy about saying a better rushing attack can increase his efficiency. He’s playing at a very high level despite the team lacking much rushing threat. Knowing that, I would expect it to improve (and the offense to be more explosive) if we could consistently move the ball on the ground.

I think it’s pretty obvious Nuss has had the much better start to his career here but to expect him to make Jayden type leaps is not reasonable. Nuss can be a great one but Jayden’s numbers and ability to kill defenses 2 different ways is a rare rare combination.

He should definitely have more than 2 wins over teams worth a shite if he stays two full years.

He’d no doubt be my heisman favorite if he came back next year. The trend is already set with our last 2 multiple year starters in Burrow and Daniels winning it.

"But he needs to run more"
The read option has become completely ineffective due to him (by coaches decision?) handing the ball regardless of the read. It is hurting the offense, and indeed creating more completions as we are forced to throw the ball.
So, yeah, he needs to run more, if only 2-3 times a game on the run option.
Plot twist. This has been by design to avoid injury/wear and tear and will change going into Ole Miss and Nuss will indeed run the ball more.

Are you saying if we had a better run game we would still pass as much?
You might as well give up now. Most on here are not good at math and fail to realize that if we run the ball better then Nuss would likely have fewer attempts even though he is still just as good as he is now or maybe even better... How many you ask? I would guess 100 yds rushing might substitute for 5-7 attempts
