Don’t need Nuss getting hurt because there is NO ONE behind him that can play

I was OK with your post until this. Any semblance of a defense and LSU had a very, very good shot at a NC. We had the #1 offense in CFB.

We had a Heisman QB that was 2nd leading rusher on the team and led us to the greatest season of all time

His efficiency isn't that high.
His YPA is 60th
His YPC is 91st
His efficiency rating is 35th
Why do you do this?
Analytics on Nuss
1st in PEN (expected points added on drawing penalties)
2nd in EPA (expected points added, after the game is decided)
3rd in PASS (expected points added on pass attempts)
6th in PAA (points that a player contributes to his team, above the level of an average quarterback.) Dart is 2nd
16th in QBR (adjusted for the strength of opposing defenses) Beck is 12th, Ewers is 10th, Dart is 5th
Thats pretty damn efficient

We have the same type of D currently, and we desperately need our QB healthy

Literally no one is arguing that Nuss needs to run like Daniels. He doesn't even need to run as much as Burrow.
But your argument that Nuss never needs to run is just silly.

In fairness, he would not throw the ball downfield very much at all in 2022.
Malik and BTJ probably had to pull Daniels aside have a man to man talk and tell him how many millions he was costing them by not letting them do work and show their potential.

Nuss is the best first year starter LSU has ever had at QB. He will be a top 2 SEC QB by the end of the year.
He is killing it without having a true #1 WR.

Will he get lsu to 10 wins like Jayden & Joe did in their 1st seasons?

How’s that compared to other qbs? Like is he one of the top rated or no??

Last I looked football was a team sport. I will say this. At the end of 2018 you could see the light come on for Burrow and a lot of people could see he was going to be special. As for JD, his evolution from 2022 to 2023 may be the most impressive improvement I've seen of any player at any position in CFB and that's 40+ years of watching football (yes, I'm old). He finished 2023 as having the best all time QB efficiency in a season.
As for Nuss, he can be a very good QB, but for anyone to benchmark him against Burrow or Daniels regardless of where they sit on the spectrum is unfair to Nuss. The other two had historic seasons. Not just for LSU, but all of CFB.

If he is the 2nd best QB in the SEC, lsu should win 10 games.
He should out dual guys like Marcel Reed, Taylen Green, Graham mertz and whoever Oklahoma throws out there huh

The defense might have to help him out in a couple of games like they did for Jayden and Joe in their first years.
Posted on 9/23/24 at 6:10 pm to LSBoosie
Neither were the 2nd best QB in the SEC

Based on your logic Danny Wuerffel > JD5

Your logic is a lie? At least you admit it

We have run several RPOs with the back standing on the backfield and everyone crashing on the back where he could pull it and run for a first down.
Posted on 9/23/24 at 6:26 pm to Imber
Our offense is one dimensional because every team has stacked the box to take away the run. If you take away the run then we will beat you with 110 completions through four games. Our Oline is great, Mason Taylor can block and our backs are getting better.
