He'll be more than serviceable at QB. Even has the ability to be great. However the team will need more than him. We just had a Heisman trophy winner at QB and lost 3 games.

1) Defense has to improve
2) New WRs need to step up
3) New OC has to be more creative in the run game. Nuss will need one where JD did not because he was his own run gam

All of this. We'll likely see a greater reliance on TE's too and need to get RBs more involved in the passing game.

This past season was the Jayden Daniels show. Now Nuss needs to be the guy putting the ball in the playmakers' hands. The new OC will have to be more creative and unpredictable vs relying on JD to make a play.

Yep, he does have a propensity to throw interceptions. He's just too careless with the ball at times, trying to make throws he shouldn't. I want to see if he can avoid that in this game, because his gunslinger attitude could cost LSU next year if he can't overcome it.

I think he will play to win football games and be selfless. Hopefully.

When will the running backs arrive? We have none at the moment.

I’m confident in Brian Kelly’s eyes as the HC so I’m thinking he can execute and score TD’s in the red zone.

If he can put in the requisite time (including significant overtime like Burrow and JD5) with all of LSU's resources, he will be fine.

I hate threads talking to players or coaches like they read this shite.

I get the point, just cringe.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for his backfoot throws

He hasn't had much time to gel with the 1's on the O-line. He probably just isn't as comfortable and settled in as JD was to step up in the pocket. Takes time and reps, but with his mindset I bet he spends a bunch of time with them this year

Nuss has got some big shoes to fill, the defense CANT help but be better, the offense will have to be rebalanced to the running game more without the QB being the leading rusher. Nuss has waited his turn and can really spin the ball but he ain’t No Heisman though 3000yds & 28 TDs wouldn’t be shabby

Maybe not. But surely if he starts for five years he will reach that level.
