It’s really simple. If the defense isn’t improved it’ll be a very long season.
Nuss is more than good enough to move the offense, but he’s going to need a defense to get W’s

He needs to reduce his "gunslinger" mentality. He likes to take risky throws quite often. Double coverage, no leverage, falling off of his back foot. These are all throws we saw him throw in the SEC Championship game against GA, and he was EXTREMELY lucky not to be picked over 3-4 times. We saw a few more of these throws this season as well.

Is he already guaranteed the job? Is losing looking to add a QB transfer and they duke it out? I sincerely don't know the answer here. I am legit asking a question.

He'll be more than serviceable at QB. Even has the ability to be great. However the team will need more than him. We just had a Heisman trophy winner at QB and lost 3 games.
1) Defense has to improve
2) New WRs need to step up
3) New OC has to be more creative in the run game. Nuss will need one where JD did not because he was his own run game.

Nuss will be fine. He is just gonna need some time to settle in , just like Burrow and Daniels.
