You guys act like he won’t improve or hasn’t improved in any aspect of his game. That is simply untrue.

The same one’s saying Nuss can’t improve are the same trolls saying JD wouldn’t improve. They are dummies.

LOL. The only team they played this year with a pulse was Oklahoma, 6-5 Oklahoma. He was 14/32 for 166 yards with a TD and a Int.

So, way better against a good defense than Nuss vs. Bama.

Nuss is a really good quarterback.
I think what we’ve seen this year is the fact that he absolutely can’t or won’t run. This makes him 1 dimensional and as everyone can plainly see, the ability to take off and run would be super helpful.

I don't get to watch Carr for the Saints a lot but reminds me a lot of him. Tom Brady talked about Carr being a very good QB when he has time to throw. Neither Carr nor Nussmeier are threats to run which downgrades them quite a bit in today's game of football. And if you pressure them, they seem to make mistakes, I will say that Nussmeier very recently has learned to throw the ball away instead of throwing it up for grabs. I still say that if LSU needs to score a TD from inside the 10, run a pulling guard type play to one side of the field and have Nussmeier keep the ball on a naked bootleg. He walks in because no one of the defense pays him any mind to actually keep the ball on any type of called run play.

I don't recall Burrow showing his running skills in year one. Knew he could run, but didn't see him demonstrating his escape act until 2019. If we get Nuss back for 2025, perhaps that additional wrinkle develops to his arsenal.

I really hope that Nuss can do the equivalent early summer work that Burrow did for 2019. Lots of present issues within the passing game would be completely worked out.

I totally agree. The guy exudes talent, and has made absolutely insane throws all year long.

He could be first round if he declares for the draft

I actually agree with this. He is better than Milroe and Beck for sure. He has much more upside, despite what the haters say on here.

The key to making the QB position more effective here is improving the run game and adding a legit deep threat to this WR group. These deficiencies limit the offense, no matter who the QB is. A QB who can run a little bit alone won’t fix these problems.

We have some really, really, really stupid fans that don't get that we have had a TERRIBLE interior line recently, no running game, and average recs...but still put it all on nuss.

His deep throw completions is beyond atrocious. However we need him back for next year.

Or perhaps you're just taking this opportunity to shite on the LSU starting QB? Yeah, I think that's it.

Looks like Nuss has better stats across the board vs much better competition. But I’m sure that won’t convince the rabble here of anything.

RECENT history. JJ didn’t get better in 4 years of being handed the keys.

Nuss has to improve this area of his game to have better success next year. It’s one of his biggest weaknesses. A legit big play deep ball threat will open up space for the short and intermediate game.

Nuss had a terrible two and half game stretch but he’s still lsu best option in his second year starting especially when you open on the road at Clemson
