Yeah he has gotten better every game. I was really impressed with him this week. If the defense could somehow gain some consistency we would have a pretty dangerous team.

I like Nuss and think he’s a good qb but let’s be real, the only SEC defense he played he threw 2 pick 6s
I want to see him through October before I crown him

Nussmeier had the opportunity to complete two long TDs and could not connect. Connecting with deep passes is not a WR issue lol. This has been going on all year where Nuss has missed WR's deep.

I guess that deep TD pass to Parker was just lucky? Or the one to Lacy at the 2 on the free play last weekend? Did you see any passes into dangerous areas this week?
Nuss isn’t perfect. He does need to hit more on the deep balls. He needs to stop throwing falling away. He can run occasionally and slide. But fricking hell- the biggest concern going into the season was him throwing dangerous passes and picks. You cannot explain away the efficiency and the TD-Int ratio, especially with the run game not going as well as hoped. You just can’t and you know that, so you try to pick away at the margins like in this post. But we all know your game here at this point.

I remember the play and it looked like Daniels just gave up on the ball showing very little effort.
He did.
You can see where the shade ends, thats where Daniels eased up. In Lesters own pic the ref is even squinting to locate the ball. Because hes in full sun for the whole play

Good talk
So why Iam I shitting on him if I say it? You sound like a lunatic

It looked like Nuss didn’t see the safety and threw the ball middle. Daniels was tracking but the safety came over and bumped him, slowing him down a tic. I don’t think he quit on it but he was slowed down.

Another what?
I said I think he’s a good qb and have been praising him all year
Am I wrong for wanting to see him put up the same numbers vs Bama, OM, ATM, etc?

I said Nuss has been fine.
He’s been better than fine, or “average” as someone else tried to put it yesterday. The numbers bear that out pretty clearly. With a couple of improvements in footwork and % on the deep ball, they can get to an elite level.

needs to improve reads and be faster with progressions.
other than that he silently is piling up great numbers

I just looked at his stats again (you know the ones the Heisman voters look at), and he only has 2 INTs. Neither one went for a TD. Yet you claim he has thrown 2
We all know why

Yep he was late on a couple of intermediate and short throws. One throw to Durham was late, one on 3rd down to Taylor I think on a little hook at the sticks where it was broken up and one more I can’t recall the exact play. Other than that he was near perfect.

Lol ball was not catchable. Saying he gave up is ignorant and portrays the player in a poor light. That absolutely did not happen
If Daniels sees the ball immediately on the cut and runs to the spot, it’s absolutely catchable. It sucks, but it’s one missed play, and one that likely happened because he’s looking up into the sun for the ball. And no one is saying Daniels sucks or didn’t have a good game because of it. He had a very good game yesterday.

I wish there were an easy to track how many of those completions were 3yds or less. No way any other QB has more than Nuss.
Not hating on him. Better than incompletions. But sheesh we throw short a lot. And rarely does the receiver get a single yard more.

There is an easy way
He was
Throws 0-9yds (24-29)
Throws 10+ yds (8-15)
He threw two TD passes that travelled a total of 2 yds in the air

He had back to back 90+ yard drives you idiot.

1 was a legit missed read. They showed how he missed the Safety coming up and then dropping back.
But GTFO here with the horse collar play. He was grabbed and pulled back from behind on the throw. The pick was 100% caused by the hit, which was an obvious penalty. That one wasn’t on Nuss.
