So that means teams won’t maybe pivot to an alternate choice.
I don’t think you’ve considered the fact that all of the above are factors. If you’re suggesting the injury is not a factor at all, I think you may have been dropped on your head as a child.

So then why hasnt he had the surgery Pirate King?
Maybe he is waiting for the team that drafts him to determine what they want to do and who they want to do the procedure

After his shitty year, his lack of measurables, poor decision making, and relative lack of playing time, he was always going to drop.
Oh, I agree with you. Hes a 5th round pick at best. But why do you keep posting his cyst then? That wasn't his issue, and its just a reason they can lean on for his shitty play. It just so happens it popped up before the draft.

Bruh, what you linked doesn't say team doctors know it's not bothering him currently. That's what Nussmeier has been telling everyone. they just know what the prognosis is, and what the procedure to fix it would entail, which i've literally already said in this thread you fricking moron
Maybe the NFL doctors believe him because the are able to do physical, hands on, exams. Maybe they are able to see how he looked completely different at the senior bowl and during workouts with teams. Maybe lsufball19 doesn’t actually have any information and is totally guessing at what he thinks to be true.

Holy frick there’s no way you are actually convinced that this is all a fake injury

You’re not going to get through to them. Don’t try.
NO surgeon I send my patients to will operate on the spine of a patient without symptoms. You just DON’T operate on the spine “just in case”. The thoracic spine is very unforgiving.

Nah BadatBourre and lsufball19 definitely know more than you or any other doctor out there

Theres no way you don't. Sorry bro, spinal cysts don't cause you to throw to check downs on every single play.

Yes, he made questionable decisions, and straight-out poor decisions. Pick 6 vs Southern for example
But go look at tape again. He used to be able to drive the ball. He'd make the ball pop in receivers' hands.
He didn't have that last year. He threw ducks whenever it was more than 15 yds downfield.
If the cyst was the issue and it's a 3 wk rehab, I don't care if it cooled off now, I'm having it done and over with.

I'm not even in the medical field and I know that. Any legitimate medical professional would advise him to forego surgery on an asymptomatic issue in a sensitive area. I'd go as far as to say that most, if not all, surgeons wouldn't even do it if asked.

He wasnt throwing ducks late in the season. His velocity was back to normal.
He still made terrible decisions.

And he still has a sub 30% reception rate on balls over 25 yards BTW. His accuracy on deep balls is awful.
He panics under pressure. Continues to throw off his back foot. He refuses to just take the sack when it's not 3rd down and we aren't in FG range. He throws balls into double coverage for no reason while we have guys wide open. His progression reads are a mess. He can't read coverages once they are disguised. He's considered small for today's NFL, and acts like he was hit by a train any time he's hit.

But he has a cyst.

What ever possessed this guy to keep playing while hurt and sinking the team and his prospects? Unreal watching this unfold this year.
I don't know who to hurt for more, the team, the player or the fans.

Quick google search on spinal cysts. Sounds like they can swell then shrink. Swollen state produces nerve pain.
Spinal cysts that swell and shrink are typically synovial cysts (common in the lumbar spine/lower back) or Tarlov cysts (often at the sacrum), both fluid-filled sacs that fluctuate in size, causing intermittent pain, numbness, or sciatica.

Drew Allar really sucked the 3 times I watched their games last year. Worse than an injured Nussmeier. I can't ignore what Nuss looked like in 2024. I still think he is going to be a good qb in the NFL.

How I understand it, the cyst was an incidental finding and is asymptomatic. People are assuming the cyst caused problems, but it isn’t now and wasn’t diagnosed and treated when he was having issues. So the question is, was it a problem or has it been asymptomatic this whole time and he had separate knee and oblique issues? Will the cyst be a problem later? If does and it’s on nerves, can it be removed or just drained and probably come back.
Add to that all his other negatives and he may keep falling.

The cyst was causing the problems.
Wasn’t discovered till late December likely by dr outside of lsu w the first mri that was done.
Procedure done.
Asymptomatic now.
Can be removed if needed.
