Actually I think it makes Nebraska look bad. Every Nebraska coach for the past 15 years or so has to deal with the ghost of Dr. Congressman Tom Osborne who won a few national championships. Frank Solich also had a winning record of 75% and actually won 50 games in a shorter amount of time than Devanney or Osborne. Then they fired him. Firing a guy because he is not Tom Osborne is ridiculous. If you win 75% of your games that puts you up there with with coaches like John McKay, Ara Parseghian and Joe Paterno. Not bad company.

Frank Solich, 58-19 in 6 seasons, 1 conf title, 1 NC title game - fired
Bill Callahan, 27-22 in in 4 seasons - fired
Bo Pelini, 67-27 in 7 seasons - fired
Yep, that's resolve.

He also melted on sidelines, pushed players, and was a total embarrassment. He was daring them to fire him, and even went on to say they couldnt do better.
But you know what? Nebraska put themselves in this position when they fired Solich.

And saban owes everything to Cal. If they dont squeek by USC, LSU never plays for the bcs title, saban still goes to the NFL and never gets hired by bama.

Lsu fans are fricking retarded
No you're retarded. The majority of those stats happened during the first 3 years of CLM being here. 2011 ended in disappointment in New Orleans. Since then we haven't achieved really anything.
Nebraska fans expect more from less talent than CLM groupies with a NFL D-League team. Their fans are willing to sacrifice wins now for their program to be the best. It won't happen at Nebraska but it can at LSU

They weren't just losing games, they were getting absolutely HOUSED in those big games routinely. Their last three meetings with Wisconsin:
48-17
70-31
59-24
Also a 63-36 loss to Ohio State mixed in there. Plus he's dropped two straight to Minnesota.
I'm one of the biggest Miles supporters around, but if LSU ever gives up 70 to a division rival, I'll help him pack.

Can you name a school that fired a coach with similar success to Miles and went on to have more success?

LSU. Saban wasn't fired but he still left and a 5-7 CLM came in and the program was still successful. I have no idea why some fans feel that the program will implode if CLM is no longer the coach

So you can't give me one example?

So Saban owes whomever the Iowa State coach was right? For beating OK State? I know...it doesn't work like that right? lmao

Well you do know Bertman hired Miles rt? I have zero faith in Joe Alleva to go out and hire a decent coach, since he has never done that.

Very nice attitude. If you are going to do something do it to your ultimate ability.
I as not perfect in my career but, being average was not my goal. LM is comfortable with average.

The results don't remotely compare. Thanks for playing.

There's always a significant chance a new coach will not have the success of their predecessor.
I feel like Pelini had run his course there.
In that conference, they have a little margin for error, too.
I am now at a point where I feel Miles has also cycled through with LSU. Unfortunately, our dependably incompetent administration has LSU along for the ride. I am, however, appreciative for Miles' tenure and would like to see things end well for both sides.

He was winning as much as any other coach has there. Nebraska fans/AD are living in the past...they'll never be a dominant program again in todays age of TV. This is just the same as the Solich firing. Its comedy.

Not the same as the Solich firing.
Different conference, different era of football, and even the landscape has changed. Championship game, 4 team playoff, etc.
The coaching business is what it is. They have no allegiances and get what they can when they can.
