Possibly... but not likely with the way they've been playing unless Wade makes the necessary changes.

TCU is not a good matchup for us really.

How so?

It looks like both teams are largely mirror images of one another. Both are very good defensive teams who really struggle to score with any efficiency. It looks like a game where the first to 60 (if anyone can get there) will win.

The good news is that LSU is probably a game behind at 3-4 the most reasonable goal we had for the first 7 games of SEC play. Hopefully Wade can make the necessary adjustments to get back on track in what we all knew would be the more reasonable portion of the schedule.

If we don't lose Pinson during the last seven game stretch be probably go 5-2 instead of 3-4 beating the Hogs and bama.

This Pinson injury seems to be one of those under Wade where you hear nothing but good news, but the guy continues to miss game after game

You had it with Charles Manning and Marlon Taylor in their time at LSU. They were injured, but you would hear news that they were progressing...only for them to keep missing game after game.

Here, we feared the worst...only to be told right after it wasn't as bad as first expected and that there was a "chance" (however small) Pinson could be back soon. Then he missed the Florida game (expected)...then the Arkansas game....then Alabama...then Tennessee, with Jimmy Dykes saying Pinson looked limited in pregame.

The thought that he was "day-to-day" immediately following the injury seemed very optimistic. But it also did not sound like he would be missing 4 games with no real time table for his return.

I think we need to have a decent advantage on the boards which we won’t…they don’t foul much (of course not many teams do that we play it seems)…they are big inside and we don’t shoot well from outside…

I’m not saying we lose..I just think it’s going to be really tough

that wasn't a gauntlet, only Auburn was arguably better than you

There is no argument that Auburn is better than us and every other team.

I think that injury was as bad as it looked for something that was not season-ending

I agree. Which made me skeptical that he would or could be back relatively soon after. Yet, that is what the immediate reports suggested. Right now it is looking more and more likely he probably won't play for at least the rest of the month.

Then you have a lot of fans anticipating that LSU's offense will immediately improve greatly upon his return. But we have to remember, he will have probably missed 3-4 weeks of play by that time. It is probably a bit optimistic to assume he will jump right in and start averaging 12 ppg.

Yea best case scenario it def looked like a 3-4 week thing. I’m just glad it wasn’t a catastrophic injury because it looked bad at the time

Yeh. Those Arkansas Hogs on our home turf were ridiculously good.
Yeah, actually they were.
How about you take your personal bitterness and sore a-hole on over to the SECRant where it's more the standard.

TCU is safely a Q1 game. Q1 is top 75 for true road games.

I know what a Q1 is

Tcu has the meat of their schedule coming up

They have 12g left and 10 are tourney teams

Texas & TX Tech twice

Baylor, Kansas & Iowa St

That’s 5G against current NET30 teams

The B12 is arguably the best conference. It’s pretty brutal for a 10 team conference…pretty much no let up.

they lost their mojo. swag is gone. they need to win with defense like they did when they were 15-2.

Disappointing that we did not compete well against good teams....I realize we are hurt, but I did not expect it to be this bad.

We will be back and healthy soon....
