Kelly must return him to QB coach
What about option C of firing him as both? It’s year 3 of working with him and Nuss has straight deteriorated as the season has gone on. What’s the argument he deserves to stay in any capacity?

A 2nd offseason for sloan and nuss would be a good thing no matter how upset you are about this year’s outcome.

If Sloan is going to get demoted if he stays, and any other school wants him, he gone.

Was he working with Nussmeier this year? If so, who cares if he leaves.

Bama fans hated him. What makes him somebody that we would want?

I think we will. The offense will look exactly like it does right now. LOL

The other question will be what happens to Hankton? He's technically the "co-OC". In reality, he's still just the WR coach. Would he accept returning to be just the WR coach again? Or would he like to be an OC somewhere? If so, I doubt he sticks around to be passed over for OC at LSU.

This would not be a huge loss IMO.

1. Running from police at a party in s bend while the qb.
2. Depending on two tes and a power running game
3. Being a HORRIBLE developer of qb talent
4. An uneven play caller that truly believes hes the smartest guy in any football room. Some of his play calls are simply way over thought.

I doubt he would accept a return to QB coach. That's a step backwards in his career path. He would probably try to get a OC gig at a different school

No one in the P4 is beating down his door to be an OC after this season. If he gets demoted, he may have to just accept it. That, or take a G5 gig.

One thing to consider though- we would have to let another position coach go to make room to demote Sloan back to QB Coach. Either the incoming OC would have to field TEs, WRs, or the OL, or we would have to get rid of the Safeties coach and have Raymond take the entire Secondary.

Hankton should be fired.
Not doing it coaching or recruiting.
Neither is Davis.

Both need to gtfo.

Sloan is not LSU OC material.

Frank Wilson has no idea how to effectively rotate and situationally use his players.

From Denbrock coaching TE's down to Slade Nagle.

If he didn't perform up to the standard of his predecessor, it would be prudent to offer him the opportunity to step down. I'm not sure there's another SEC team that would give Sloan an opportunity at OC. Perhaps Underwood will convince Michigan to offer Sloan the OC spot. I would expect that Michigan doesn't want to have him move on instead of hiring a new OC when the present Offensive focus is running the football.

The best suggestion I've seen for LSU is Tom Herman.

Because if you get demoted he would no longer be the Oc. And as far as an Oc not coming because the former Oc is still there would not be a problem because a million dollar contract does not warrant feelings and emotions amongst men in a professional world. I like Joe Sloan and cbk but if he keeps Sloan as oc he deserves the same fate as les miles with cam Cameron if things do not work in year 4

Hahaha .. i think you may keep sloan, but bring rees in as new te coach. Basically putting sloan on notice, and giving kelly one of "his guys" on staff

Thats the speculation on most nd boards
