South Carolina has been dreadful. Lost 7 SEC games in a row and have given up at least 8 runs in every game (including 2 7 inning games).
We havent been good on the road in SEC play but this needs to be a slam dunk easy series win with the way USC has been performing. They cant score runs and cant stop people from scoring them either right now.

Georgia hosted a super last year with 17 wins. MS State also had 17 and didn't.
Auburn had 17 in 2023 and didn't host. 4 SEC teams with 19 wins all hosted supers.
Arkansas had 18 in 2022 and didn't even host a regional (RPI was 41 and they crashed hard to end the season before the postseason). Texas A&M had 19 wins and hosted a Super that year.
Going by the past few years, looks like 17 wins puts you on the bubble to host a super, 18 "should" put you in, and 19 locks it in.

We have a top 8 seed. Win 2 of 3 from S.Carolina to solidify a top 4 seed.

While that is generally true and maybe true again this year, it is not usual for there to be potentially 6 SEC teams with 18-12 or better conference records. Since the SEC has never had 6 Top 8 seeds and only once had 5, there is going to be a conflict between what usually happens based on conference record and rank in conference. This could definitely be the year the SEC gets 6 Top 8 seeds, but I don’t think LSU wants to count on that new precedent being set. They need to win 2/3 to feel confident.

Nah. Might be in a world of hurt to get swept at SC, but that ain’t gonna happen. Minimum expectation is to win two. 19-11 and we’re top eight even if we go one and done in Hoover. Hell, 18-12 and the road to Omaha still runs through the Box.

Still want to sweep South Carolina though.

If LSU doesn't sweep South Carolina, it would be a massive disappointment. South Carolina is horrendous.

There’s Ol Saturncube with a retarded take. Nah we locked up a Top 8 seed already.

Average score for SC in SEC games is
4.5 to 9.7
Tigers are 6.1 to 4.6
It’s baseball on the road but this should be a sweep.
