Just like last year where they started early due to weather concerns. They also played threesomes. Don’t remember if they split tee times.

After the cut you’re playing with half the field so easier to do

I can't pray enough for more than 25% capacity for the Bama game.

Because the masters only allows the event on tv for however long they say the masters can be on tv. They really don’t care about tv revenue it’s a weird thing but that’s just how they have always been. They Already don’t allow the tv coverage to start until a particular time in the day.

I was a kid in the 80s/90s when LSU made football look like it was an essentially impossible, Curley Hallmans permanently dumfounded face on the sideline is the image that got hard wired in me, so even now I cant quite fully grasp that we really are a program that has appointment games 3 months from now.

We're a name that can just casually be mentioned along with The Masters because our brands are the same size and I may never get over that.

You’re a couple of years behind on that one. They now show virtually the entire tournament on a couple of different platforms. Front nine and back nine.

Oh, and we’re not talking about the final round on Sunday. We’re talking about the 3rd round on Saturday. I think it is obvious we won’t be playing Bama on a Sunday.

All done by the Masters themselves not the broadcast networks. They have their own app and website and some channels on cable providers but the actual broadcast on networks is in the afternoon after some of the tournament has started. If the masters tells CBS you gotta cut it off at 4:30 then CBS will cut it off at 4:30. They just don’t care about the networks.

Nope. ESPN carries the early rounds and broadcast the front 9 and the back 9. Additionally, CBS buys the exclusive rights to carry, among other parts, the Final Round. CBS has the final say in how long their coverage continues and will broadcast until the tournament is over.

I don't even consider golf a sport. It's a leisure activity. If you aren't getting any physical contact from another competitor, is just a leisure activity.

except when it comes to CBS and Augusta National. Hopefully "the Covid" will be gone next Spring and The Masters will resume in its normal timeframe. But Augusta National has always had a "year to year" contract just to make sure everything goes their way. If CBS had moved The Masters to CBS Sports Network the 2021 Masters would have been on ABC.
