That's when the only took 4 teams. If they took 4 this year there's no ND.

Oh really? How many playoff games did Brian Kelly win at Notre Dame? How many Top 10 teams did he beat in the postseason? I'll wait...
Someone want to tell him?

No one was beating that Alabama team

A&M did

LSU was a Yeldon screen away from beating them

UGA was on the goal line to win

Had there been a 12 team playoff that year, all 3 of the above teams probably make it in and I dont think that ND team makes it to the final

I really don’t have to say much here other than they are a top 3 football team of our lives.

Top 10? Sure I'll give you that.

Might even have an argument for Top 5.

Top 3? No. There's a reason that year has an asterisk. You don't get you play a truncated season when everyone is reeling from Covid in front of cardboard cutouts and then claim Top 3.

It's ridiculous.

This whole comparison to Freeman and BK is nonsense.

You are 100% on the money. There is no comparison. When BK's Notre Dame teams had a playoff game or a big-time opponent in the road, they got blown out and weren't competitive.

When Freeman loses to Ohio State he will have accomplished the same thing that BK did. You could even argue that coaching ND is easier during the NIL era.

But he didn’t have to win multiple big games to get there which is his kryptonite

In 2012, he had to beat two top 10 teams and not lose to anyone else to make the title game.

It seems like everyone gives Freeman credit for beating some playoff teams they were favored against but no one penalizes him for a loss that would've kept them out of a BCS championship or a 4 team playoff.

BK wouldn't win three straight against top 10 opponents in the first place to even be in this position.

I don't know about all that, he beat 2 top 10 teams back to back in 2022.

Next year, I’d like to see CBK’s LSU team do what Freeman’s team at Notre Dame could never have done.

Wouldn’t that be fun? Then we could all go torment their fans on their boards and brag about how smart our AD was to hire Kelly away.

That’s what I’m waiting to see.

Its amazing to me how this board has allowed their opinion of BK get under your skin.

This place... these LSU fans... WILL ALWAYS think the next guy will be the guy. Regardless of title, job, position, etc.
