Even then, one of your best defensive players. Why is he not on the field on defense? No reason.

Yes we know. I’ve said it multiple times. They just didn’t play him.

Perkins recorded 3 tackles vs Vols. This is available on LSU Sports. You can see his game stats or participation.

I am sure there was a reason. He has played a ton and done well this season so far. I highly doubt all our coaches just decided "eh, let's pull him today to make it fair for the other LBs." Something likely happened behind the scenes we are not aware of.

But I was told we just doesn’t have good enough players on the roster… You can’t say that while the coaches willingly sit one of the most talented young players on the team.

House was worried Perkins couldn’t handle the complexity of the Tennessee offense going so fast…so he played the guys who knew what Tennessee was doing as they ran past them for 40 points

He was on the field more than that. I was at the game and personally witnessed him more than once.

I thought it may have been something along those lines, but at some point you would think they would decide to just put him out there. His athleticism would make up for missed assignments.

DJ Welter over Kendall Beckwith part 2. I’m so glad we basically rehired Les.

Perkins was in on several series. However he does need to be on the field way more than he was today. He also did play on special teams.

I'm sorry but this is inexcusable. You don't get a top 10 matchup at home and not play your best defensive player.

You don't get to say that you forgot, needed to coach better or whatever. You can't say scheme because of how good Harold was vs State.

That combine with Jayden's passing game, our special teams and the 4th down and 19 decision is giving me Les Miles flashbacks.

Not playing your best players in the biggest games isn't "we need to coach better" it should be "if that happens again someone loses their job"

I wonder if the same thing was happening vs Florida State when they refused to play him then as well?

Stop making excuses man, he played on special teams and one or two snaps on defense so he wasn't suspended, clearly wasn't hurt,

This was a coordinator getting too cute and using "fit" players in his scheme instead of the best players.

40 points and 62 missed tackles later he gets to feel how fricking dumb that decision was

This argument falls apart when you see how great Perkins did vs State.

I agree with you bud- that was their logic though.

saw him in the game plenty. He rotates in with the other LBs.

He played 4 snaps

Tolian and Jones played more. Baskerville and Penn played almost 90%

He didn't play plenty buddy
