It's ok to keep the football and run for a touchdown. ...you know like Tim Tebow ....keep the D honest.

Big gains are there for you if you decide to do big things versus choosing #7 to carry the football into a 9 man front.

Read the DE and "Execute with Excellence"

If you do not do your job, the white dude is going to take your spot and not give it back.

It's up to you, you're the first choice for LSU, make it happen!

I doubt he gets a choice.

Might be a zone read from the looks but it's a designed handoff imo.

You really think we run the "Zone Read"? If Harris keeps the ball it is because he is told to keep it.

LSU doesn't appear to "read" anything when they are offense, otherwise we would attack man-to-man coverage against 8 man fronts.

You say this like there is an abundance of zone reads called at all, much less an abundance where Harris makes the wrong read and hands the ball off.

This is so spot on. We run the play that is called (assuming we can get it snapped in time) no matter what.

we ran a couple of times against Wisky

Harris could have ran for 30 yards if he just kept it

No, we ran a couple of plays handing the ball to LF from the shotgun.

The problem is we don't run the "read", it's a predetermined hand-off.

Harris has clearly run the ball in the past. I was wondering if he was told not to run because Etling was still banged up...

Note to AlexTiger...how do you know it's not a straight give? What from this offense has shown you that Cam can correctly teach a QB to read a defensive end? What from this offense has shown you that Les would trust that?

I'm confused. How often have we seen Buga get stuffed on a zone read play

Back to back "reads" and that is all I could really find.

IDK what the left side of the line is doing on this play or who BH should be reading in the first place, so I'm calling it a read is dubious.

On the second one I'd assume he is reading #43 the OLB and he made the correct call to give it to LF.

That is just a handoff to set up play action later in the game.

Just as a source of amusement - I would love to watch Les run the read option in real time.

I think our zone "read" plays are predetermined.

Wait, hold on. So we ran it with JJ. But the offense is exactly the same right? I mean, it's been exactly the same since Miles has been here.

But now, LSU doesn't run it, and those are designed hand offs.

Get the frick out. You schmucks can't have it both ways.

ApexTiger is 100% right about this! I remember one of those plays exactly. It made me jump up and yell like Hell at the TV!!! He looked straight at the DE running directly towards Fournette's perceived path and still handed it off. I don't think the DE paused to look at Harris at all either time!
