It was 9 PM in Columbia which makes it even crazier.

I, for one, like the late starts. Put the woman and children to bed and focus on the game. Just sucks last night was the longest game of the year to boot.

I turned it off and went to bed at Midnight. Eastern Time.
I had all the "Umps" I could take.

I hate blaming officials for a loss. Truth be told, we had plenty of chances to put up big innings last night.
But also, umpires missed an obvious balk call while we were at the plate, called a questionable one while we were on the mound, and allowed the 4th inning to turn into a complete circus. A shite show indeed.

I got regretfully drunk only realizing we lost when I checked the rant this morning. Hopefully they repent by getting on the guys left on base yesterday home today.

I was driving home from work when the game ended. 13 hours until the next game. Not a way to give players rest.

The Umps were definitely not why we lost the game, but they did contribute heavily to my general overall annoyance.

Was that the longest game of the season also? 4 hours and 30 minutes was brutal. I've learned to love the 3 hour games that had been standard so far this season.
