We have at times had trouble running on teams for a quarter or two. Bama is going to make us prove that we can throw the ball like no other team has. I just hope Lee and JJ are up to the task.

I remember the year after we won our last title..we went in to Florida at 4-0 and people were saying that UF wasn't that good. Look what happened to us and how that season turned out. Not saying Bama will beat us, much less hang 50 on us but saying they aren't that good is ridiculous.

LSU and Bama are on the inside looking out so I guess it's easy to say they aren't that good but if we were sitting at 5-2 and 2-2 in conference I think some of you would have a drastically different view.

Those two teams aren't even close to comparable.

That UF team is one of the best teams in SEC history.

I didn't say they weren't that good.

I just said we're better.

My concern is the D lines we have faced. Nothing special at all so far. Bama is a MUCH different story.

We faced 'em last year. They probably have better LB play this year.

Bama's dline isn't anything special IMO.

Unless you are counting their LBs.

Yes they are, especially the defense. Learn their names because you'll be hearing them called out on future NFL draft days.

its true they have nfl studs on that defense but lets not forget we have just as much.

Ok what does that have to do with them having the best D-line by far that we have played so far?????

This Bama team would win the MNC every other year except for this one. I believe we are that good and balance on both side of the ball. We can force bama to be one dimensional but they cannot do that to us. If bama tries to load up and stuff the run, Lee will have a field day throwing to RR over the top. Did I mention we have Wing kicking?

Better in ST play for sure.
They really suck for a major program.
I think that and the JL/JJ combo will be UA's undoing.

I wouldn't go that far, but I agree that their schedule has made their defense appear a lot better than it really is.

You just keep telling yourself that.

Really?! Somebody has to be damn good and I don't see why Bama is not the one.
That said, I do like our chances. Our sucky offense put on some good numbers on their defense and they are returning the core of it (except for what 2 key players?!) + another year of experience under its belt. With an improved offense from our side, I'd say it is a wash.
Their offense is a notch down. And, our D has turned into something special (despite sleepwalking the entire game last night, we still had a decent game!). Too logical?

I disagree, I think Bama may be slightly better. Unfortunately, I think the Bama game goes like the Auburn game last year. Score will be close, but we will have trouble scoring on them and stopping their running game. If the tennessee team that ran for negative yardage in its previous SEC games is able to run for 111 against LSU, LSU will need to change its approach to have any hope of slowing down Richardson.

That said, even I am correct and Bama wins, that does not mean LSU is not a talented team nor that Les is a bad coach. It may just mean Bama is better. It will suck, but that's how it goes sometimes. Hope I turn out to have to eat crow on this.
