I think it's safe to say that's an outlier and not very normal.

Alex Bregman, George Springer, Jackie Bradley Junior, Andrew Bennentindi disagree with you and those are just off the top of my head from the game I’m watching now.

3/4 played in the SEC at that.

You guys are blind or full of shite.

I just checked the NCAA stat page and scrolled through the top 200 homerun hitters this season and not one LSU player was listed.

Bats don't explain why everyone else is hitting more HRs than LSU.

You said you got sucked into gorilla ball. Bats and steroids produced gorilla ball.

It got us to the championship game last year. How did that happen?

I know.

What produced no LSU hitters in the top 200 in HRs this season? That's my question. Answer that.

If you're going to be boring, you'd better win. LSU hasn't won one in a while, though, have they? So what's the point of all these little dudes hitting dribblers?

Not admitting that LSU should be a top HR hitting team in CBB is just goofy. You people just argue for the sake of it.

LSU football should always have a top Defense. It's our tradition.

LSU baseball should always be considered a power team. The program was built on it.

I see no identity with the baseball program and that's sad.

It’s a deliberate strategy by Paul. He wants to keep extra pitchers so he needs versatile fielders. He wants catchers who can play 1B, he wants infielders that can move around, and outfielders that can do the same.

It's not hard. The program has no identity. Bertman knew what kind of team he wanted and went out and found that kind of player.

What's the baseball programs identity currently?

I believe they've won a few here in there the 6 seasons before this one. They may have done decent last year. Seems like they may have gone pretty far in the post season.

Yes and it got us to he championship game last year. That's is a ton of winning! More than any school but one. Explain how that happened with such a boring team? This year's team lost one of it's best players, Josh Smith, to injury and has had injuries across it's pitching staff. But you would rather ignore that in wallow in negativity. Typical alleged LSU fan.

You're damned right I did. They let the homerun hitters go to other schools in favor of little guys that can't really hit and end up with a boring product.

Sure, you guys with LSU shoelaces would pay to watch a pig take a shite if it came out purple and gold, but for the casual fan, it's unwatchable. It doesn't have to be that way.

Thanks for an actual answer. Weird it took so long to get one with all these "hardcore" baseball fans up in here.

LSU played for a national championship last year. I think everyone would prefer more power. But, you don't understand the game enough to offer a real opinion. You are looking for "entertainment".

You are the Arena football type of fan.

You know I used to love home runs. They are a fun part of the game. But DAMNIT some of y’all are completely fricking hung up on nothing but home runs. There’s more to a good team than fricking home runs. There’s more to scoring runs than just home runs.

We really need a sticky during baseball explaining why Gorillaball doesn’t exist any more and isn’t coming back.
