Only thing he got right was that Ole Miss = Directional School.
Lane understands that the college kids like the hype and the attention builds branding. He understands the marketing side of coaching better than most.

think he’s implying there’s no point in what LK did in trying to get those players who went to mini camps back as LSU is already loaded. I personally agree with that and didn’t see the point in doing all this. But I’m not losing sleep over it at the end of the day as it was ruled legal and everyone else is doing it.
It would have been negligent on Lane’s part if he didn’t pursue all available talent options.
Additionally, the relationship was there with these players and they wanted to reunite with their coach.

Cowherd is right.
Remember . . . .Les Miles of all people took LSU to two national championship games and won one. Yet, people forget just how embarrassingly incompetent Miles was at simple clock management . . . not to mention the archaic 1950's offensive schemes he refused to abandon. If Miles can do it, then any slightly average coach can do the same. Exhibit A, we love Coach O because he is authentically Louisiana. . . but make no mistake, our beloved Tigah won because of the ridiculous talent on that National Championship team.
I'll be blunt. Lane is a child. During his halftime rant to the team, he told the team "they hate you". . . no Lane, they don't hate LSU's players . . . they hate you. LSU doesn't need your unnecessary drama and we don't need you to project your emotional issues onto Louisiana's finest. Just take the blessing you have received from the good Lord that is LSU's head coaching job. Few people get an opportunity like this to succeed and grow before the headstone is placed. Take this one.

LSU has been super for 5 years now.
I think your autocorrect swapped "super" for "sub-par."

He’s right in the fact that LSU is big boy football.
But the “hijinks” attract talent and motivate young men. Both are crucial.
People hated O’s schtick but he attracted the talent and motivated them to a Naty.
Saban cultivated an aura of no nonsense and brutal professionalism. Most coaches try this, but few break out enough to be noticed.
Lane will do fine here. He has already proven to be a talent magnet, and he is an outstanding game caller and halftime adjuster.
It’s like watching a striptease. Shut up, sit back, and enjoy.
