Little late but that play was a microcosm of the season.
Pitch ultimately beats the batter, jamming him into a 100 foot 45 mph blooper. We're shifted to the pull side but somehow the ball finds its way through that pull side shift. The defender who tried to make the play got hurt. Then the best player on the team slipped on his arse trying to field the ball.
Just one of those years.
