The Jumbotron on Saturday was glitchy. The screens around the main video board shut off several times during the game. The right side is the score board, and the left is typically adds.

What was interesting is how much dimmer the stadium felt when the two side panels were off.

I know that LSU is $500k in the hole, but hopefully this board will be upgraded soon.

Cant help but notice the blank spot above "1958" were "1908" would fit perfectly.

It’ll never be ready in time

It wasn’t glitchy. They turned it off to reset the game clock & scoreboard.

Did the same on the 2 screens in South Endzone. They were just showing the live video feed & no score at bottom.

If you didn’t notice, the issue was fixed when they turned it back on

When the ad space is turned off it really emphasizes how little space of the video board is devoted to video

The ribbons went out at the same time, that’s why it was so dim

I love Tiger Stadium and all its quirks but the lighting and sound system are horrible. It is the darkest stadium I've been in among major venues. 4 of the bulbs in the standard closest to the SEZ on the west side were completely out. How in fck is that not fixed before a big night game??

This is because they're playing it EXTRA slow this year, and the timing for the video feed of the lyrics wasn't changed from last year. It's not like someone is sitting there hitting the spacebar to go to the next set of words each time.

It's PAINFULLY slow.

But the National Anthem is now too fast. I don't know who decided these things, but it sucks.

Damn, stadium staff is still using the original wiring, with cloth insulation, when Huey P. Long had the stadium built. It can't handle the amp draw.

This X 1000

The new music director has slowed the alma mater down the last couple of years. I know that it’s not an upbeat song, but it used to have a good rhythm to it with good pace. You can pull up old videos of the band playing it just 5 or more years ago and the alma mater had good flow.
Currently it is played extremely slow.

I don’t have any issue with the star spangled banner. It sounds fine to me, but I do notice it’s slightly more up tempo than I’m used to.

For the live of me, I will never understand the use of static ads on the video board. It’s ridiculous. It should be dynamic ads the rotate or add should be restricted to off the video board. It’s really one of the huge failures of the LSU/CBS marketing group.

Back when this scoreboard was being installed. I was talking to someone in LSU administration about it and they said at the time Coke had a very lengthy contract and that contract specified a certain percentage of ad space the video board must be used for coke advertising. It was explicitly spelled out in the contract. I'm not sure if that contract is still in place or not or was renewed. But it was something like 60% must be ads and coke would have the larger percentage.

When LSU was on defense and the crowd was screaming, the side ribbon video boards were showing Coke and Community Coffee ads rather than flashing "get loud" messages like in the past. WTF??
