We couldn't win one title with Alex Bregman. Quit getting runners thrown out at the plate.

So you would say a guy that pitches 14 times a year would have a bigger impact than a guy that would play every single game?

No.

Don't you think a stud pitcher is more helpful in the CWS than a stud shortstop?

There's a reason why pitchers are drafted higher and more frequently.

LINK

But hey, y'all have the right to be dumb. No disrespect.

Shortstops don't have THAT much influence on games. That's a mighty big statement. If he was a pitcher, I could accept that claim.

Greatest MLB SS of All-Time (# of Hall of Fame SP he played with)

Cal Ripken (1)
Derek Jeter (1)
Ernie Banks (2)
Robin Yount (1)
Ozzie Smith (0)
Omar Vizquel (1)
Barry Larkin (0)
Luke Appling (2)
Miguel Tejada (0)
Pee Wee Reese (1)

But yeah, Pitchers are def more important than those useless SS

Because you need more of them and they get hurt more frequently. Are you being serious with this shite?

They think it will go down to the deadline.

Which usually means the draftee will cave and sign for 7 figures even if it's less than what he originally wanted.

Then reality sets in and you realize everyone in the SEC West was a top 8 baseball program this year besides Alabama. The difficulty of the league more than offsets that. Takes a lot of talent luck and peaking at the right time. If you don’t have those things. You won’t win.

Yeah, that reason is they are more likely to sign because of the chance of an arm injury!!

Then reality sets in
while i agree that it is much more difficult now, having only 2 good cws appearances in 10 seasons is not acceptable for the premier program and i don't understand why some people work so hard at making excuses for that reality. starting from 2010, lsu is barely a top 10 program at the cws. now, if pm wins a couple at the cws next year, that would be an impressive 3 seasons for sure and would start to erase the cws futility of 2010-2016

so perhaps you aren't aware of the records. or are you going to respond with things like

muh national seeds
0-2 at the cws is "close" to a championship
no "bad" seasons
