What’s frustrating looking the lightning bolt link and rain radar is that they made these specific rules (<10 mi lightning, etc.) for dictating play, and then they throw all the rules out the window and postpone for several hours for “weather”.

Jay doesn’t care what you or I think. The ONLY thing he is concerned about is making sure the game can be played without the threat of an in-game weather delay. If that means pushing a 2:00 pm start until 9:00 pm just to be certain there is no threat of and in-game delay, that’s what he will do.
The NCAA here can override his preference, but I promise you, he’s telling everyone they should wait to start the game until there is a 4 hour window where no rain is expected.

I’m jaded as someone living far away and not going to the game but I can understand the anger from fans who traveled and paid
