I don’t know if this exists or not but Jim Hawthorne should have a banner hanging from either the PMAC or his name on a golden microphone in Alex Box. He called two Final Fours and called Six Baseball championships. Plus 2 Football championships.

People love to hate on JH...those people are easily influenced. JH was much better at football than Blair and it isn't even close. And basketball he was amazing. He gets hated on in baseball for getting excited on fly balls...go to a game and half the crowd jumps to their feet on most fly balls. Blair literally waits to call the play 2 seconds after the ball is hit. His excitement can't be touched either. I watch "the best" pbp guys make mistakes all the time...it comes with the job.

Yeah. That gives a lot about personnel, formation, Taylor going in motion and coming back. Very vivid. If you had not seen the play but heard that, then saw the play you would be saying that was not what you envisioned.

Not wrong. Nothing said about LSU formation, personnel, motion, etc. presnap. He could barely get the part about the Bama player running off field before he could call the play.

Uhh I also was old enough to listen to Ferguson probably more than you and you are clueless if you think Hawthorne is in the same Galaxy as John..... I mean how many times did John credit a safety for a receiving TD or say 3rd and 5 Keiland Williams around the end for a gain of only 3 ......First Down Tigers
