Stupid post...OP is just a Never O just finding another fake angle to dump on our coach. And setting up an “I told you so” if we lose for any reason. Truth is injuries and bad luck happen to great teams.
I bet the OP is a perfect person who controls everything in his life. Give me a break!!!

I agree with most of what you are saying about our talent. But one mistake a lot of people on here make is that they dont look at what our opponents have.

Uhh 106th ranked Oline is enough excuse as far as not sniffing a championship with that kinda line play. I’d bet there’s never been a championship team with Oline statistics like that. No way they navigate that schedule wo huge improvement. With that said I think they are way better than 106. Diff lineup first half of season hurt badly along with losing our best Olineman. I think we are good enough everywhere else if they can just make top 50 n TFL & Sacks allowed etc.. Maybe we can contend.

Just curious, does anyone know the average number of seconds Joe held on to the ball before release last year on passing downs?
Playcalling is just as big a factor as the O line. If you’re gonna call slow developing pass plays regularly, you’d better have an elite pass blocking O line.

yes I like the way they have built this team back up with plenty good talent. If the ball 'bounces our way' and we get some good breaks in regards to injuries, refs, etc. could very well be a great season and have a shot at the playoffs.

Yep. Ed and company have done a great job putting LSU in this position. Now they just have to prove they can provide the in-game coaching to put LSU in contention for championships!!

WTF...O line is only a weakness if they have to hold the defense up for 4-6 seconds while stupid long-developing plays are called. Call the quick pass plays and this isn’t an issue.
I don’t understand why you idiots don’t get this.

You are absolutely right, and hopefully these idiots will finally be enlightened when they SEE the new OFFENSIVE attack Brady has implemented. Our offensive linemen will be the happiest guys on the field.

Doesnt look like much on the offensive side at all, lol. This will be another typical LSU team: very solid defense; avg to mediocre offense. Don’t forget Ensminger and Orgeron still run the offense.

10 reg season wins is the floor though
Sigh, we have been thru this baw.
Sec west is the floor, 10 wins and no title is like jacking off...

Totally disagree. This year is different. Our qb and Oline are not great but with a year under their belt they will be better. Now the difference this year is we have playmaker's at running back and wide receiver. Throw in a new offense that will utilize these playmaker's and the sky's the limit.

We don't have "great" OL players. It's the one deficiency that could derail a CFP run. That's not an excuse, it's a fact. We don't have an elite OT and we are very thin depth wise. Regardless, I think the line should be good enough to get the job done.
Otherwise this is a loaded team with a savvy, veteran quarterback. Injuries could be the only thing standing in our way.
I think it's great we have high expectations of making the CFP and it's doable.
One thing I've learned in following college ball over many years, is that the football is shaped odd and bounces in mysterious ways. I thought for sure the '06 team would compete for the title but we played and were coached poorly in the Auburn game and had some unfortunate bounces, calls vs Florida.

Yep, Ree and crew Blames Alabama loss on Aranda when we scored zero points.

We don't have an elite OT
Clemson has had 1 olinemen drafted since 2014. its amazing how all these other programs work around not having elite tackles.

I haven't seen anyone on this board that suggested we would be better off without Aranda.
I have seen that, though not too often but I've seen a shite ton of O sychophants suggestings the A&M, Florida and even Bma losses were Aranda's fault and saying he is overrated some openly wondering if there may not be better solutions for a defensive coordinator out there.

yeah we just didnt have the NFL talent in 2017 to compete.
we only had a nflqb,2 NFL rbs,2nfl wrs,NFL olinemen, nfl te, and a defense littered with future nfl players. I'm so happy O built the talent up from the dereliction of talent.
